First of all, we were told that Quan Chi's ending in MKDA will NOT happen so that means that Liu Kang will not come back in Kano's body. Most likely what happened was that Mavado either defeated or defeated and killed Kano. As for Liu Kang, they should keep him dead but I would like for him to warn Kung Lao in some sort of vision or something.
As for Baraka, it's likely that he will return looking like the way he does in that concept drawing. If Kitana's MKG ending occured then perhaps Baraka will try to kill Kitana for killing Mileena.
