Mick-Lucifer's MK: Retribution gave me an idea to write my own little story about what MK6 could be like. I hope mine's just as good as his was and I hope that you all like it!

With the death of Shang Tsung at the hands of Kung Lao and the sudden disappearance of Quan Chi, the Deadly Alliance was no more. Even the attack on Kitana's forces from the mummified army halted with the sudden retreat of the warriors. Everything was at last at peace. All the Earth warriors have returned to the Earthrealm along with Raiden.

What nobody really knew was that the Dragon Egg had finally hatched and had released its power into Reptile. He has become the Dragon King, and with his new found knowledge and power, he knows that he is in control of the most powerful army in existence and that Outworld now needs a new ruler.

Characters:

Dragon King
Formally known as the Reptile, he plots to take over all of the realms with his armies. Believing that he cannot be defeated with his new powers, he allies with Drahmin and Sektor to gain more men to help in his take-over. He does not fear that they will betray him; he has enough power to destroy their forces without even having to use his army. Knowing that Drahmin has merged with Quan Chi, he questions his new ally’s motives for joining him.

Blaze
The mysterious elemental, still on his quest, realises that the hatching of the Dragon Egg had led to the return of the Dragon King. During his quest, he encountered what he thought was a fellow elemental with the power of electricity. Realising that this was in fact a God, Blaze revealed all that he knew about the egg and Dragon King. Blaze decided to continue on his quest later, believing that even the God would have a problem defeating the Dragon King. With his freedom, Blaze has gained more power and is fully capable of handling the Dragon King’s minions and go to Edania to warn Princess Kitana.

Fujin
Watching from the Heavens, Fujin sees that Sektor has become a very powerful force with his clan, the Tekunin. He learns from Raiden about Reptile's transformation, but can't decide whether to go to Outworld to defend against the Dragon King, or if he should stay in the realm he was charged to protect by Raiden and try to help stop the Tekunin. Seeing some Oni and mummified soldiers in the Tekunin’s ranks, Fujin realises that as long as he helps, it doesn’t matter where he stays; Outworld’s problems have become those of Earthrealm’s.

Drahmin
After entering the Inner Sanctum with Quan Chi, only Drahmin emerges. Drahmin's body becomes fully healed from all of the tortures it endured in the Netherealm and now has control of Quan Chi's sorcery. In possession of the amulet, he and Moloch return to the Lost Tomb and open the gate that Quan Chi had used to escape from the Netherealm. Venturing into the Netherealm, the two Oni announce to their brethren that their day of rising has come. Learning about the Dragon King’s rising, he decides that perhaps he could use him for his own deeds. Keeping this to himself, Drahmin seems to have a stronger lust for revenge than ever before; Quan Chi’s mind seems to be trying to take control of their body and kill the Oni, Moloch. His mind is divided into two conflicting sides, one to help his friend, and the other to destroy him.

Moloch
While Drahmin leads the Oni to freedom and living flesh, Moloch has second thoughts about trusting his friend; he notices that Drahmin has become too confident and has not once removed his mask since leaving the Inner Sanctum to reveal that he is still an Oni. When Drahmin tells Moloch to meet with the Dragon King to make negotiations, he is ordered to make a deal with the new ruler; the Oni will serve the Dragon King in exchange for all the dead bodies the war brings on and for their own realm to rule. Moloch just hopes that when the war ends, Drahmin will become his old, psychotic self again.

Sub-Zero
With the Lin Kuei in war against the Red Dragon, Sub-Zero finds himself facing their leader, Mavado. As their clans battle, they notice a new enemy attacking both of their sides. Seeing the familiar cybernetic designs, Sub-Zero knows that Sektor has come back for revenge, followed be an army of robot warriors. Even some of the mummified warriors from Outworld have joined the battle against the Lin Kuei and the Red Dragon. Receiving a message from Raiden, he and Mavado are instructed to abandon the Lin Kuei base and to attempt to attack the Tekunin base with their men. With enemies all around him and his men, Sub-Zero knows that this is a war that he must survive.

Mavado
Finding the Lin Kuei base, he leads the Red Dragon into battle. He battles against Sub-Zero personally, but is rudely interrupted by a missile blast that knocks them away from one-another. When he sees that his men, as well as Sub-Zero's, come under attack by foes he has never seen before, and after receiving a message from Raiden, Mavado decides to make a temporary truce with Sub-Zero to defeat their common enemies. Mavado also makes a vow to himself to protect Sub-Zero at all costs; if anybody is to kill Sub-Zero and take over the world, it'll be Mavado himself with his Red Dragon clan.

Sektor
With virtually all of Japan under his control, Sektor uses Japan's resources to create a portal into Outworld to see if he can gain the skills of other warriors to automate. While ordering his Tekunin units to attack the Lin Kuei, Sektor meets with the Dragon King personally and states that he will gladly help in his take-over of Outworld, if Sektor gets help in his take-over of Earthrealm. Not fearing Sektor's power, the Dragon King accepts the offer. Although Sektor doesn’t trust Outworld’s warriors from having to deal with them so often, he thinks that he needs all the help he can get to ensure that Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei are silenced once and for all.

Smoke
Having been in deep meditation for years since his transformation, Smoke's mind and body become strong enough to block out what the Lin Kuei programmed him to do so many years ago. Even his metallic armor has begun to fall away, making Smoke more human than he ever was since the automation process. Still part machine, Smoke returns from hiding with new abilities in search of his ally, Sub-Zero. Finding that he is now Grandmaster and learning of Sektor’s new clan, Smoke disappears to explore the base of the Tekunin to gather intelligence about how to stop the machines, and to see if there is a way for him to completely restore his humanity.

Kung Lao
While training under Bo' Rai Cho, Kung Lao has become even more powerful than he was when he battled Shang Tsung. Getting a message from Raiden about the Tekunin, the Oni, and the Dragon King, Kung Lao decides to return to the battlefield to fight against the Dragon King. Believing Sub-Zero's Lin Kuei clan can handle themselves well, alongside the Red Dragon and the Special Forces, Kung Lao ventures through the same mystical portal used to get to Outworld previously. With Bo’ Rai Cho, Raiden, Fujin, Scorpion and other members of the White Lotus Society, they venture into Outworld to meet with Kitana’s forces.

Bo' Rai Cho
Bo' Rai Cho decides to go along with his student to see if any of Kitana's warriors need extra help to defeat their new enemy. As he, Kung Lao, the two gods and Scorpion venture into Outworld however, they fail to realise that they need all the help they can get, for the Oni have increased their numbers...

Reiko
Finding himself lying in a pool of blood in Shao Kahn’s throne room, Reiko is unaware as to what has happened since the fall of Shinnok. Encountering his former ally Noob Saibot, he is informed of Shang Tsung's death and Quan Chi's merge with Drahmin, as well as the death of Prince Goro and the return of the Dragon King. Unsure of what exactly to do now, Reiko cannot comprehend why he keeps fading out for years at a time. He knows that Noob Saibot is hiding something, but decides to bide his time before he demands from him answers about where he’s been.

Noob Saibot
Having successfully defeated Goro, Noob Saibot returns to Shao Kahn’s throne room only to find evidence of a battle and that Reiko has come back. To still show loyalty, Noob Saibot informs Reiko of everything that has happened since his disappearance, purposely leaving out any information concerning Shao Kahn. He decides that it is time for the Brothers of the Shadow to return and decides to search with Reiko for allies in the war against the Dragon King. This time, Noob Saibot will reap the rewards of the falling of the Dragon King and become emperor of Outworld. The Brothers of the Shadow will worship him.

Scorpion
After being thrown into the Soulnado, Scorpion wakes up in a mysterious realm. As he explores, he finds the only two people who ever mattered to him. After a long and happy reunion with his wife and child, Scorpion realises that he has been finally granted passage to the Heavens to rest in peace until Fujin personally asks him to return to Earthrealm to fight the Dragon King. Learning that the two Oni who threw him into the Soulnado are still alive, and also guaranteed a place in the Heavens if he aids the Earthrealm warriors, he decides to help, once again with revenge on his mind, and for a chance to be with his family.

Princess Kitana
After the funeral of Prince Goro, a representative of the Centaurians approaches Kitana with information. Apparently, the Dragon King has allied with demons from the Netherealm and the creatures are leaving a bloody wake in their path. Right now, they’re attacking the Centaurians, and need assistance. Knowing that the Centaurians and the Shokan have formed a truce only recently, she hopes that they can set aside their differences to defend their realms against this new evil.

Khameleon
After learning from Nitara about the history of the Raptor race, she plots to find Reptile and confront him with this information. Learning that she is the Matriarch of their species, all hopes lie in her, as she is the only one who can revert Reptile back into his original state, and hopefully end his desire for power.

Sonya Blade
With orders from Raiden to attack the Tekunin, she is surprised to learn that the Red Dragon has decided to help the Earth warriors. She has a score to settle with them, since Hsu Hao destroyed the OIA’s means of traversing the realms, and since Mavado himself tried to kill one of her agents, and even prevented her from getting her revenge on the Black Dragon thug, Kano. She hopes that their truce lasts long enough to prevent any of them from killing one-another.

Jackson “Jax” Briggs
After ripping out and studying Hsu Hao’s heart implant, Jax has become more obsessed with cybernetic implants. Seeing how strong the Tekunin is, Jax decides to volunteer to test more bionic implants on the rest of his body, including using Hsu Hao’s implant as an arm cannon. Upon sight of the implant, Mavado vows revenge for the death of his most loyal pupil. Jax grows anxious for the end of the truce to show Mavado how he ripped out Hsu Hao’s heart.

Cyrax
Finding out that he has the ability to hear the secret coded messages from Sektor’s units, he learns that the Tekunin have decided to serve the Dragon King. After informing Sonya, Cyrax ventures solo to the Vampire world in search of Nitara, hoping to gain the Vampires as potential allies against the Dragon King.

Nitara
After meeting Khameleon and agreeing to help her return to Outworld to face the Dragon King, she’s surprised to meet Cyrax in her home realm. Cyrax informs them of the Tekunin and the Oni and asks that she rally her people to fight along side the Earth warriors. As devious as always, she decides to help Earthrealm and gets several other Vampires to join her – the Vampires go to war with a hidden agenda.

Kenshi
After recovering from Mavado’s attempted assassination, Kenshi is surprised that Raiden has even requested the assistance of the Red Dragon. Feeling betrayed, he secretly plots the assassination of Mavado, and plans to do it in the heat of battle – the Red Dragon could help the Special Forces all they want, but Mavado will pay the ultimate price for his deeds at the hands of Kenshi. He will not wait for the war to end before he stains his sword with the blood of the Red Dragon.

Sareena
While everyone is focused on stopping the Dragon King, Sareena hides in the shadows awaiting information from Noob Saibot. She receives orders to stay with the Earth warriors and to gain their trust. Finding a potential ally in Frost, she decides that perhaps it is time for the Brothers of the Shadow to recruit some new members.

Frost
After attempting and failing to obtain the Dragon Medallion, Frost finds herself shunned by her Sifu. Although Sub-Zero has no intention of killing Frost, or even kicking her out of the Lin Kuei, she still fears what he plans for her. Upon meeting Sareena and learning about her plans of power, she thinks that she can trust the demon and eventually reap from the benefits of helping her with her plans.

Raiden
After an encounter with Blaze, he learns of the Dragon King’s return and informs all the Earthrealm warriors. When Fujin informs him of the Tekunin and learns that they’ve pledged their loyalty to the Dragon King, he decides that perhaps the clans of the entire world should become involved in the defence of Earthrealm and hopes to gain several in the realm to help defend Earth. After giving up the search for Johnny Cage, Fujin recommends that they take on another from the Heavens to join the fight.

Johnny Cage
After filming “Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance”, he heads off for the premiere in Japan, only to have his plane ambushed by mysterious robots. After fighting them off for as long as he could, he is attacked from behind and loses consciousness. When he wakes up, he realises that he is unable to control his body’s movements or speech; when he is confronted by Sektor himself and called “The Perfect Unit” he comes to the painful realisation that he has now become a member of the Tekunin – a machine.

Good, but I'd add either Kano or Mavado(Both are about as good as the other, and the story could have one killing the other and then allying with the dragon King.), and drop Reiko, cause I just don't like him

To respond to Godzilla, I did put Mavado in there. His bio is right after Sub-Zero's, and the Red Dragon plays a very important part in what I wrote.

As for MKLord2003, you're right, the Soulnado ripped Scorpion's body to shreds, but they never said that his spirit was destroyed.

Good idea for the MK6 story. Didn't like the "machine Cage" idea, but the rest could work very well.

Wow, I didn't expect so many to have liked the story! I'm glad that you all enjoyed it!
And to respond to red_dragon, I was originally going to kill off Johnny Cage because I found his story a tad repetative, especially his endings, which often lead him to making yet another MK-related movie. But then I remembered reading a post where someone had an idea about having a new machine character from the Tekunin featured in MK6, so I decided to make Johnny Cage a little more interesting rather than make a whole new character up. Sometimes a hero has to take the fall, even if it's not death like in this case.

Glad you liked those parts. I felt that Noob Saibot deserved to have a better story for a change, seeing as he hasn't had a decent bio since MKT. And for Scorpion, well, he's the most popular character in the game as I understand it, and I really like him a lot, so I figured I should bring him back.
