since the gamecube version is nearing us and we have been speculating on special features like the 12 extra characters what else do you think there will be?
i think the characters will just be ports from MKDA and i think they will be:
Quan Chi, Cyrax, Nitara, Sonya, Kitana, Jax, Kung Lao, Sektor(MKTE), Sareena(MKTE), Drahmin, and Kano. i also think that endings would be along the lines of what happened to them after Deception with still images but no voice over.
i also think that there will be tag team and survival modes from MK:TE on there.
maybe bring back the Acid stage from MK:DA but add the pool of acid as a death trap and the Frozen Catacombs.
there are load screens in puzzle kombat of Hotaru and Ashrah. maybe they will be playable in puzzle kombat.
what are your thoughts?

Its not speculation anymore its been confirmed on an official MK Australian site, and they got a quote from Ed Boon who said that there was an extra 12 characters on the gamecube which would make up 36 characters in total. I think they will definately either be character ports from Deadly Alliance such as Kitana, Kung Lao, Reptile... and possibly some character models that have been used in Konquest mode in Deception, such as Stryker, Fujin, Sektor etc.
Mortal Kombat Deception on the gamecube is released in Winter 2005, a whole year away so that alone proves they are planning ssomething big, it will probably give them time to do the programming for the extra characters!

When did they go and push the date back? If its 12 people I'm getting it. Especialy if its a year from now which makes it less like buying it twice. On the down side that means they could just do all the systems by making some uoober gold version or something, making it less special.
If they really did push the date back that far then it better be worth the wait. Maybe people will quit complaining about how unfair it is if they have been playing the game for a whole year before the GC crowd.

i know there are 12 extra characters its just speculation on what they would be. and winter 2005 could be Jan or Feb considering they are winter. but usually when it says winter its usually in nov. if it is released in Jan or Feb then it will probably be DA ports, if in Dec. then all new characters and stuff.
Porbably have characters like Fujin, Stryker, Sektor, Rain, Sheeva, Shao Kahn, Goro or something. The krypt will be larger and contain all of the ps1/xbox krypt plus more koffins with photos of the production of the gamecube version, renders of the new 12 characters, sketches, and more.

A year??? WTF?!?!?!?!?! That's not the real case. They've clearly stated "first quarter 2005". In gamespot it's even more clear:
Mortal Kombat: Deception
Publisher: Midway Developer: Midway Genre: Action Release Date: 01/15/2005
Anyways.. If you ask me what I want I'll say: SONYA and the rest of the classics that were unfairly dropped in MKD, I mean Cyrax, Kung Lao, Quan Chi!!!!!!!!!! Include them PLEASE.
And in therms of features all I have to say is: TAG TEAMS IS AWESOME! Include it too!!!!!!!

I dont think we will see any 4 armed characters. Mainly because there are no 4 armed people to motion capture. I'm sure they can rig up something but it will likely be a bigger deal than they are going to want to go through for on version of the game.
I also doubt alot of extra content will be added in the form of krypt stuff. Characters don't actualy take up much space but the gamecube has only 1.5Gig disks. The Ps2 Version of the game without all that stuff is almost twice that already. The movies for thier arcade treasures 2 on gamecube are compressed to an extrem and look like crap. Nothing like the one for PS2 which has up to 7 gigs worth if they need. It will be interesting to see how the game fairs squished down to 1.5 gigs.
