Hi, I am trying to use Sub-zero's fatalities but I can't. One of his fatalities are Foward, Back, Down, Foward, Triangle, but it does not work. Do I have to beat the game in order to unlock these fatalities or something?

No. But remember you have to be at the right distance for it to work, that Fatality has to be made in CLOSE distance, that means just as close as you can get to the other character. It does work, at least on my PS2 copy.
