People are consistently delaying the last hit in Jinko's 112b2 from Mantis, and i think last night i saw 112cs delayed as well. Is this just a connection glitch or intentional? If so, how?

Damn it's been awile since I've played MKD but I'm pretty sure the delay is from lag and not done intentionally.

Yea, you can still get plenty of matches online with the PS2, not so much the XBox, though the connection is better on the latter. Last night i fell for a joke by some expert player who had a 0-0 record, saying he just got the game from a pawn shop, and his tag is Jimmy-13 with a birthdate in his location showing -/-/94 to make it look like he's a 13 year old noob. He killed me, fuchin' prick.
Anyway, he did it a few times, and others have done it to me. The lag/delay is so great that it takes a full second to kick in, then it's followed by another attack almost instantly. That's what leads me to believe it's intentional.

Well to answer your question.

When you do 112b+2 with Jinko the b+2 will always delay. It is an online lag thing. Its the same with Darrius's combo in weapon stance. The last kick delays. So most Jinko players know about it and can immediately do either a low hit or grab if you block it or they can do a air lift if you dont block it. The best advice i can give you is watch what they do and try to find a pattern of theres.

If you see there doing a lift after the b+2 just block for an extra 2 seconds then counter. If you see there trying to throw then block then duck or if there trying to do it to hit you low just block then duck block. Its very easy to get away from it. I played MKD for like 3 years and can tell you pretty much anything you want to know about it.

Well i hope that helps you.wink

I haven't played MKD in forever, but I could get back into it. How much is "plenty" on PS2? Is it worth picking up a copy?

There's always less than 10 people. Usually less than five. If you get more than that then it's your lucky day.

He's right. Last night there was 10 people on for a while, but for some reason nobody was playing, just hanging around. Fuchin' weird. The reason i said plenty of matches is that i've been on every day for the past month (XBox) and gotten games, though few and far between. With the PS there's almost always 1-3 people in a room. I like MKD over MKA, but it looks like i'm gonna start on MKA again since there's waay more people playin' it.

As for the 112b2, i don't know that mine looks the same way on the other guys screen, but more importantly: it's not every time that it delays. Sometimes it comes out close to normal (offline).

I've played the game for over 2 years, but online for under 1. I missed the MKD days since i didn't have a broadband connection until about August of '06. I played a lot, but by then everyone was experienced in playing people while all i had was the AI. By the time i was getting good at Deception, Armageddon came out. I was good with it on the XBox, but i missed MKD, so i went back.

That's exactly what I was wondering about. I figured there weren't many people online, but I didn't know if it was like MKA where 95% of the people won't play/ chat the whole time/ quit.

Man you still have quitter/pullers in MKD. I fought some guy named NGGA-PLS. We were playing chess and I did Ashrah's u+2 in weapon then a free grab after that and he quit. He said free grabs aren't legit and are glitches. What a dumbass.

112b2 is one of the worst dial a combos online in mkd

there is a HUGE delay between 2 and b2, just hit them in between , you basically have all day to hit them before b2 comes out

worthless

jinko is all about setups for his 80% throw combo online, all he lacks is a weapon/range ( except teleslam )

btw i think its only delayed on one end of the screen unless its laggy for both. karate used to do 112b2 and the b2 would miss and give him a free teleslam off 112. ( nasty shit shaun ) so the delay is definitly not as long as it seems on your end, karate was great with this mixup

All right, i'll attack after the 112. I don't have any way to confirm what's happening on the other guys screen, but when i do 112b2 it comes straight out. But why is it a terrible dial? People use it every time they play with Jinko.
