The mini games add to the replay value. If you don't like them, TOO BAD. I love the mini games, I'm gonna be playing Puzzle Kombat for a LONG time. Chess Kombat is looking very cool and Konquest will no doubt be the coolest.If you don't like them then I guess you're out of luck.

I think u need to stop speaking for everybody because i think that they r both really great. I just love the chess kombat, it looks like so much fin and addictive to play online. The puzzle kombat isnt as great ut is still really cool. Ed hasnt ruined anything, just made the game a lot better.

The reason why this game is shapping up the way it is, is because of the MK fans. All the characters that have been brought back is because of the fans, also the 2 fatalities per characters and other things as well. Those extra games look like fun and i dont think anyone else minds if they are in or not.

Why? It's because Ed Boon knows he can stuff MKD up with extras and fans will eat it up.

You're damn right. Especially when most people consider the fighting engine to be perfectly fine. Two additional MK related online games to accompany the excellent fighting engine equals badass.

I think those two games are awesome as a matter of fact. Puzzle Fighter was a great fucking game, and now that it's MK, will only add to the fun.

I really can't wait to play Chess Kombat...and Puzzle Kombat looks fun too...I'm happy. They'll add variety to the game. When you get board of just plain old fighting, you can play the mini games and have just as much fun.

The Games Are Almost Equal To The Kombat Itself, & To Some, 'Tis Better.

i HATE puzzle games and i THOUGHT super puzzle fighter turbo was the stupidest thing they made, till my friends rented it and damn that was on of the best games i ever fucking played.

that game kicks ass and it is super fucking rare now and everybody wants that game. you can only find it on ebay if u are lucky u will even find it still on ebay.

its about as popular as mk2. and i am for real, those are the 2 most wanted games from ebay.

metal gear solid is too, but that game is still out on psone and the remake is on gamecube so that isnt so high.


mk puzzle i hope the gameplay part become additive i am a lil worryied cause i want it to be like puzzle fighter.

its gonna kick ass. and konquest oh dont get me started.

well they are buying this game because it also has a adventure mode which is konquest.


every fighter, hidden, 2 bosses in each realm, pick your own fighting styles, even from ppl from MKDA that arent in this game u can use ther fighting style.

thats one. and 2 chess is the best fucking board game out. it makes me feel wise and old like shang tsung mk1.

chess has always been the best fuckng game ever, they were smart by choosing this one. but i have a chess board at home and didnt get happy with that game, till i saw that it has more options then chess.

chess doesnt have sorcerers that do things in battle, it doesnt have deathtrap boxes.

and it certainly doesnt have the mk1 and mk2 backgrounds like this chess game in mk:d does.

the oldschool backgrounds plus some are even in 3d with the newer version of music of the classic mk games, and 3d version of old school levels.

also when u fight with the chess pieces, you get to fight in that background if u didnt notice.

so whatever it kicks ass. BOON knows what he doing. gameplay isnt an issue right now.

they just needed more special moves and the famous ones. cyrax mk7 green web, kabal WILL have the topspin and sub will have ice clone. mileena will have telport kick.

teleport moves are back. cklasic special moves are back.

combo breakers and reversals and wall switches are new gameplay, stage weapons with their own fighting style change gameplay.

deathtraps change gameplay.

the dash from mk3 is back, by presing forward twice u dash in this game.

vertical moves are back, like subbys vertical ice blast from mk3 and ashrah vertical kai fireball.

there is new fighters so thats means u never before seen fighting styles that u havent seen from MKDA. like 3 fightying styles 20 ppl thats like 60 new fightying styles total that u never seen.

I like mk when it was serious before it got commercialized into movies and crap and went mainstream it took the fun out of it.Seriously you would rather have mk tetris and mk chess then have more fighters more finishing moves more of everything. Give me a break i love mk but i dont like the direction its going im a old school fan of 2d tell me you dont think mk has gone silly with 3d and there lame fatailtys.POPCORN

Do you truly believe MK Chess and puzzle fighter are responsible for the weak fatalities? Listen closely: Nobody plays MK2 for consecutive years because of the finishers. We play because it has depth. And that's exactly what the side-games give us. Chess is just another fighting mode, anyway. That IS the implementation of the gameplay.

Fatalities, whether you like or dislike them, have no replay. And to honest, the atmosphere of MK has been at it's darkest point at MKD. Either way, I can see based on the responses that Boon gave the fans what they wanted.

i think i made it quite clear mk tetris doesnt do it for me i saw some gameplay vids of the little mk fighters on the screen it looks so corny lol.And someone brought this up on the boards that i agree 100 percent with why and how during a fight that you can knock someone into a deathtrap and they come back to live the next round that is so dumb.Boon seriously needs to fix that. im actually liking the mkd game even though i dont like the sidegames it looks very good.i dont hate everything about the game just the stuff i mentioned

You know i dont know what to say, but if you dont mind step out the MK box for minute and listen what ihave to say, fighting games are great in verse's but when you your alone playing the game gets stale, and ED Boon knows this, and has expanded the fighting exp, now if your by yourself, you now have lots more to play, first off i dont know anyone who isnt a puzzle fighter fan, and stragety chess game, which has a good amount of depth, and a konquest mode you can play for hours learning all styles and taking mini quest, it was stated 2 months ago the MK is not just a fighting game it is a single player expierence and to me thats just kool cuz there trying to exceded our exspectations, and i think theyed done it with only a 20% build, So if you will, please think outside the box, you'll find theres more then just meet thy eye
