Hey.
With the very successful Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance game last year and with the upcoming highly anticipated Mortal Kombat Deception game, I instantly thought that you guys would be the perfect people to do action figures for the Mortal Kombat series.
Many upon many people have been dying for a company to do MK figures for an extremely long time now and just checking out this link: http://www.mortalkombatonline.com/content/forum/showmessage.cds?name=mk6&message;=85864 you can clearly see how wanted these figures are.
Most apparent is that if you do start to make the figures everyone liked the formula of creating all of the characters from Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance and Mortal Kombat Deception - with each series (usually consisting of six figures) you could have the usual six-figure run, with a 12"/18" figure, a collect all 6 figures to create something (i.e: the Dragon Emblem) and an exclusive variant figure, - each character could come with a base, their weapon, an alternate head or hands/arms/legs, etc/
I have seen alot of your previous figures and they are simply amazing, the paintwork, the sculpts, everything. But there is one minor detail which me and several other MK fans dislike - the excessive articulation on the Street Fighter line - which takes alot of the beauty from the figures.
However if you were ever to actually do MK figures we strongly reccomend a limitation on the articualtion (maybe 6-10 points of articualtions) as it really ruins the overall look of the figure which occurs with alot of companies.
I instantly thought I'd choose SOTA to ask for the figures as I personally feel you are my favorite toy company and have purchased many products from you. My favorite licence you've done, hmm, most probably the Resident Evil line or the Charmed series (so amazing)
I'd really appreciate it if you could email me back as soon as you recieve this email/ or as soon as you can,
Regards,
Tony Searle

Tony, thanks for the email. We're getting a lot regarding us doing MK. While we're considering it for sometime next year the real issue isnmt whether the fans want it ( we know they do) its how to convince stores that fans want it. That takes time.

So their you have it - maybe early next year - I'm waiting an email from McFarlane and NECA - I'll post their answers when I recieve them, Thanks

Cocaine's a helluva drug.
When I pay $10-$12 for an action figure I want the best articulation possible so I can change it's pose and display it on my shelves in any way I want, instead of it being stuck in a pose that I might or might no like.

Yea, I can see where your coming from about articulation, but too much articulation joints can make a figure look ugly (street fighter for example), but if they were able to have alot of articulation but it was hidden or something then it would look better, but as I say everyone likes different things, but well, oh god i'm talking rubbish now, better stop haha,
Thanks.
Thanks.

Erm, there isn't MKDA figures out. What I think your refering to is the "custom" MKDA figures of Sub-Zero and Scorpion on Ebay - they were customised on the original Infinite Concepts MK figures which came out years ago - even so the custom MKDA ones are one of a kind...

SOTA?
Never head of them.
However, Just like I brought up in the previous thread. Mcfarlane Needs to do these. Theres really no other way. For the finest detail it has to be Mcfarlane. Runner up would be Neca. Neca produces badass figures too but not as good as Mcfarlane.

Hmm still no reply from NECA or Mcfarlane - talk about ignorance :).
As mentioned before, once I get replies they'll be posted here.
