I know many of you guys probably thought of this... but PLEASE HEAR ME OUT... Ok. I've just got the game, the Kollector's Edition for XBOX. I've hearing stuff about Ed Boon saying there's more to the game than the unlockable characters... I've been searching around this forum and i couldn't find it.. could somebody please give me the link? Well anyway, I've seen this video with Jax and Jonny Cage fighting in the Beetle Lair (Only in MK Deception)

Here's what i've noticed, The announcer never says "Jax Wins" whenever Jax wins. The gameplay also seems a bit rushed, after Jonny Cage is defeated the next round resumes quite promptly. After Jonny Cage is defeated for the second round Jax isn't given the oppertunity to do a fatality (Possible that the user set the gameplay to 3 rounds). I also noticed that both Jax and Jonny Cage were controlled by people. Jonny Cage destroys one of the pillars during gameplay (I have never seen the the Computer do that before). Or the computer really sucks, i doubt it... I've played with the NOVICE setting and no way i could get a "flawless victory" twice... Jax also seemed quite sloppy, he missed some of his grabs and strikes... take another look if you have to. Of course, at E3 it was confirmed that Jax would be playable, but take a look at the character select screen... there are 24 boxes for 24 characters... here, I'll list them...
Starting 12:
Scorpion, Mileena, Baraka, Sub-Zero, Kabal, Ermac, Night Wolf, Boraicho, Ashrah, Dairou, Kobra, Darrius.
12 Unlockable Characters:
Tanya, Sindel, Shujinko, Raiden, Noob Saibot/Smoke, *Liu Kang*, Li mei, Kira, Kenshi, Jade, Hotaru, Havik.
Count em'... 24... I don't see any other spaces or other characters... en yet, Jax is supposed to be playable... Maybe you press a certain button and theres another roster of players... who knows...

Here's what I think... The Super Unlockables, Rares, whatever, are supposed to be nearly impossible to find... but if you play the Konquest Mode, you'll fight various MK characters that aren't on the Unlockable or starting Roster in their full 3D selves, just like all the other characters. What i don't get is why won't we be able to play as them? Variety is the spice of life. And, I wouldn't work for months to make 3D models of all these other MK characters and not let my fans use them... it's a waste of their time... Not to mention DISSAPOINTING. Even if they had only 1 fighting style, I would still be happy to get to use them... it would still certainly bring up the overall value of the game. Midway knows this being that they've been dealing with games for years. So i believe that anyone you fight in the Konquest Mode in their full 3D forms, you'll be able to play as...
There's also this thing about seeing the words "Fujin" and "Stryker" in the clouds of the main menu of MKD. Scroll down about 4 times and it'll get very cloudy. It's true, I've seen them, but i have no clue of what it means... Fujin, good. Stryker, bad. I just don't like him. Sometimes you'll see the words "Earthrealm" and "Outworld" etc. When the thunder flashes you see the outline of the Dragon King... Which doesn't seem like a hint. But that Fujin & Stryker thing is pretty interesting...
Liu Kang, yup you can play as him, but if Boony Boy is gonna say he has super unlockable things in his game than he better make sure that they are "Super Unlockable" Liu Kang is NOT the super unlockable, you find him in a chest behind a tent for god's sake. what the hell is that!?
I bought the Kollector's Edition and it just came with a Card of a Special Kombatant (I had Mileena) and theres nothing suspicious on it... I also checked out the Bonus DVD and it has the profiles of 25 MK characters.

Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Baraka, Shujinko, Raiden, Sindel, Kitana, Goro, Sonya, Jax, Mileena, Nightwolf, Kenshi, Smoke, Jade, Tanya, Kabal, Shang Tsung, Kano, Kung Lao, Shao Kahn, Reptile, Quan Chi, Jonny Cage, Cyrax.
There's nothing much about them... other than the fact that it's filled with crap, only behind the scenes of how these characters were created and used in the movies... But notice, no Liu Kang, Noob ain't even on the list or with Smoke, and Shao Kahn & Goro are on the list. Also Cyrax... Oh my, look~! Jonny Cage and Jax are on the list... the two we saw slapping eachother... But alas... no information on MKD just movie information... hmm..
By the way, a new Mortal Kombat movie is coming out in 2005 known as Mortal Kombat Domination (aka Mortal Kombat 3)... hopefully it won't get cancelled or sumtin...
There have also been rumors of "hacking devices" being used to find Jax, Jonny Cage, and friends... things such as Action Replay supposedly have detected files of the Old Characters (Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, etc. basically everybody in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance) hidden on the disk of MKD, so people say... So why would Midway put them on the disk and not let us fight as them? hmm... maybe we just have to unlock them... interesting... who know...? Boon boy does...
Ok, back to the title of Mortal Kombat: Deception... What is the "Deception" in this game? Is it that Mileena misleads Kitana's military forces to but the Dragon King the time he needs to complete his plans? It says on my Mileena Kollector's Card that "Only Baraka knows the truth behind her Deception." Of course, misleeding one's army doesn't seem that much of a crime of deception to me... so I don't believe this is the true "Deception" in MKD. If it was, Baraka & Mileena would be the stars of this game, just like how Shang Tsung & Quan Chi were of Deadly Alliance, but they aren't... so hmm... Maybe Boon is the one Deceiving us, like a late April Fool's Joke... If he is lying, I swear on my grave... I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MK GAME... No, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MIDWAY GAME. He is truly sick and twisted if he believes this is funny. He probably is making us try to believe the game has more value than it actually does... which would coveer up flaws of the game... All we can do is pray there is more to the game than what's been provided... because what's in front of me, is dissapointing...
