There are only a few games that are less than 700mb, so I highly doubt that MKD will on anything less than a DVD-5. And it seems like there is alot of data so it may even require a DVD-9.

its probably gonna be on a dvd-9 because of the number of extras and mini-games included. so yea, most likely, MOST DEFINATELY LIKELY, DVD.

Now just about every game is being on DVD even games that not much people care about are on DVD like Fairly oddparents for PS2 and The Cat in the Hat and MK:D will most likely be on DVD also, i've heard there are problems with CD games.

Uhhh......VERY stupid question. 97% of PS2 games and 100% of X-Box games are ALL DVD-ROM. How the hell would systems like this be able to take advantage of their processors with games that are on CD? LMFAO!!!!!!!!

AberzX: A game doesn't have to be on DVD to take advantage of it's processor, that has nothing to do with it. Some great games with good Graphics are on CD, like ICO for PS2.
But yes, it is guaranteed to be on a DVD. Now, will it be on a DVD-9? I don't know, but neither do the guys that you asked at Gamestop. They were just telling you that since games are starting to head in that direction. I would say 70% DVD-5, 30% DVD-9. Not many games require it yet, and they will avoid it if they can due to the fact that it will cost them more to mass produce it in the long run.

i will admit that was a pretty dumb question with all the stuff they're putting into this game they won't be able to fit it on a cd unless they compress the hell out of it and then it's very unlikely to fit. dvd definately. also the dvd and cd has nothing to do with the processor or the graphics or the other crap thats all read from the laser and send as data to the other hardware components, just to clear things up
