Since the released MK:DA, and now Deception, does the series show new light? or is it declining in all its bloody glory?....why? (by declining I mean spelling the near end of the franchise....and by Rise I mean does it show new light for future games)

It rose a little bit with the Dragon King legend. I would rather, however, Mortal Kombat go back to some kind of tournament at some point though.

I would say it is slowly rising again after a decline starting from mk3. I think MKDA rose it a little but not anywhere close to where it was with MK2, Mortal Kombat still doesnt have a very good mainstream gaming credibility yet, but I think MKD will probably raise it a little bit more.
