I think that the next Mortal Kombat should be entitled Morta Kombat: SurVIvor. I think that this is an appropriate title for the game because now that the Dragon King has returned, it is now every fighters only thing left to do... and that is to SURVIVE his wrath along with the wrath of his undefeatable army. Notice the VI (6) in the word survivor (surVIvor).... anyways people.... I, like many others out there, have been a fan since the beginning. What really had interested me about Mortal Kombat (the original)in the first place was it's use of digitized fighters (which looked real), and it's use of blood. There were other games out before it's time, such as Time Killers, which also used blood but it didn't compare to the realism that made Mortal Kombat what it is now...You guys already knew this, but I had to say it again... Anyways, there are a couple of things that I would like to see in MK VI and there are some things that I would not like to see. Here is the list of the 15 things that I would like, and not like to see in the next installment of the Mortal Kombat series:

-Uppercut opponent into the next stage (through the ceiling/roof like in UMK 3), and when that happens, the broken ceiling or roof pieces must not fade away, they must stay on the ground (it look more realistic that way).

-An uppercut move for everybody (obviously, to do the move mentioned above)

-Body bruises, teared clothing as the fight progresses (not just a bloody face)

-Cheat codes (like the good old days. You know, once you have mastered deadly alliance it kinda gets boring and altering the games format with cheat codes would have been cool)

-Making the characters limp/stumble through out the rest of the match or woosy from loss of blood when weapon is impaled in victim (not just letting it stay there, and the fighter acts as if nothing has happened)

-Two fatalities (only) per fighter

-One pit fatality per fighter (due to already lack of space on CD)

-I had one idea for an arena, which could happen if it was really worked on. It kind of goes around the basis of the idea of the bottom of the pit stage in MK Trilogy for N64....
Instead, remove the spikes in the center and place them around the edge of the arena (since the arena is circular), also for that stage remove the protective shielding that prevents fighters from leaving the arena. Don't worry, when your opponent gets kicked or slamed into or near the edge, they will be cut open a little and bounce away from the spikes that are on the ground.
*Note* - If you move voluntarily towards the spikes to avoid an attack and you make contact with the spike, then you will not be hurt. You must only be forced against it in order to be hurt.
Now the good part, don't forget about the pillars with spikes on them. These are put one on each side of the arena (like the 4 acid buddhas/ one on each angle making exactly 4 pillars.), except the pillars are placed closer in the arena then the floor spikes are.
Now if you combo your opponent on to the pillar, then he or she will get extremely cut and just bounce off just like when you combo some one in other levels towards the outer protective shielding, it would do the same thing.
But, if you hard attack (like tapping the special move button upclose to your opponent to do kenshis flip rainbow kick for example) and your opponent goes flying into the pillar, then he/she shall get impailed for a couple of seconds before they try-and-successfully remove them selves off from the spikes, resulting in them falling to the ground and you guessed it... LOTS OF BLOOD
*Note* -I would not recommend makind this stage into a pit stage fatality because that would be a waist since it already is kind of an in-game-pit stage. Using the time towards making a new stage for a pit fatality would be much more useful and rewarding.

-Should not be allowed to choose the final bosses (example: You must not be allowed to choose Shang Tsung or Quan Chi. It looks stupid if you're fighting the final bosses with the final bosses... furious , perhaps you could enable their selection through a cheat code of some sort and even then only being able to play with them in a 2-player Kombat mode only, but not on a regular game-play basis)

-Adding 2-on-2 Kombat/ 3-on-3 Kombat (like in Mk Trilogy), would be a nice addition. Except only this time when you defeat the first opponent or vise-versa your's gets defeated, then you or they won't explode into guts and pieces. They should only fall to the ground and the next opponent will jump in (but the other guy is still laying on the ground unconcious untill the entire match is over, meaning when all 2 or 3 rounds are finished). This is kind of based on the idea of how they made endurance matches in the original Mortal Kombat 1 for arcades and PC.
*Note* - 2-on-2 Kombat will only be available to select if the options have been kept to only 2 rounds. And 3-on-3 Kombat will only be available if the rounds are set to 3. Both modes may not be selectable at the same time. It is either one or the other. Also, 2-on-2/ 3-on-3 Kombat are optional modes, you do not have to select them. You can either use one or the other, or use the normal arcade mode. It's your choice!

-When a statue or other object falls, or breaks, then the broken pieces or parts should stay on the ground and not fade away (it looks more realistic like this)

-Add just a few more fighters to the choosing list (old ones, not new lame ones. *Must add Mokap and Blaze to list, with fatalities.* I do not favour having either of them, but since they were wrongly chosen to be in Deadly Alliance secretly, they must now be stained into the game permanently. Thank the "TEAM" for that mistake!)

-Make the endings cinematic (*optional*)

-Either change what you can buy in the krypt (No stupid pictures and game ideas and MK Team photos...WHO THE F*CK CARES), perhaps replace those unfortunite additions with some more appealing ones, such as: Extra fighting styles, More arenas, more secret characters, and perhaps un-lock old mini games such as pong, or galaga. Either this alternative, or just get rid of the whole damn KRYPT because it is waisting good space!!!

-And last but not least, throw in a couple of cinematic clips before some of the fights (to help better the characters story line)

THAT's IT..... Respond/Reply, and tell me what you think... THANX FOR YOUR TIME!!!!

Does anybody agree with my post??? Even if you hate my ideas, I would like to know so I can make adjustments.....Even though it doesn't really make a difference in the MK community!!!

Uhm, I really like your ideas for MK6, but I don't like that SurVIvor title, but I see the game of words.
surVIvor, the VI in the word, very kool idea, but I don't like it. =P
I agree with some of your ideas, but for that "through celing" thing will need to load, remember that the arenas are 3D, not like the ones on MKTrilogy.
I also like the idea of 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 mode is very kool, also that thing of the "lying on the floor while the fight kontinues" it reminds me the Endurance Rounds in UMK3.
That's all, and I do like your ideas for the Krypt.

I believe create-own-fighter, would be a great addition. That is if you would like MK:VI to be out in 2005, or later.

"It is so easy for people to come up with ideas these days, but to actual make it into a sellable product is something totally different."
-Ed Boon : MK:DA dvd (A day in the life of)

do you have any idea how long it would take to design, test, edit a create your own fighter mode?
It would take twice as long for the game to come out. Theres 3d modelling to be done, specials moves to be created and oh yeah: character textures (unless you want them to be squared and plaine polygonal fighters). It would take months maybe even a year. Lets catch up on the things we missed first, like 2 fatalities, and pits, before we get to things that we haven't tried yet. I don't know about you, but I would really like to get my hands on MK:VI before 2005... How about you? agree? If only they had the time and the money to do create-your-own-fighter mode...then it would be great. But now that all eyes are on midway to create a better selling product then their previous installment of MK, and in a certain time boundary (late 2004), I think they are going to do things right this time and on TIME, and not bother them selves with such unreasonable requests like CREATE YOUR OWN FIGHTER!!! Good thought anyways....

Frankly, I'd prefer it if they just called the new game MK 6 instead of giving it some lame title. I don't care much about the storyline either as long as the game plays well and they remove that awful clinical plastic look that plagued the combatants of the past game.
Multilevel arenas were actually planned to be included in the past game but were removed due to lack of time. Hopefully they'll be included in the next installment.
I don't necessarily want every fighter to have an uppercut move but at least something that has the same effect on your opponent (i.e. launches them into the air, or in your case through a wall/ceiling) for at least one fighting style per chharacter. Giving each character an uppercut move would deprive them of their original fighting technique.
Teared clothing and bruises were also planned for the final product and will hopefully be included this time arount. Oh and by the way, I like your stage idea. Very nice.
Also, if they can't put anything decent in the krypt then get rid of the damn thing!
