You can't play PSP games on your PS3, even if you download off the PSN. The PS1 Classics and certain Minis are playable on both PSP and PS3 though.

Anyway Mortal Kombat Unchained isn't a bad game if you're playing it off a memory stick. The PSN version makes the game a million times better as the load times are drastically reduced. The game is actually playable now. :p

It would be nice for Sony to make PSP games playable on the PS3 (either in a Super Game Boy or Game Boy Player sort of way or make the PSP game downloads from the PSN playable on PS3), but right now the best you are going to get is hooking your PSP up to your TV with the composite or component cables.
