After Scorpion was thrown into the soulnado, Quan Chi knew it would only be a matter of time before Scorpion would be back. To get prepared for his return he used Shinnok's amulet to go back into the nether realm to find some new allies. After wondering around the nether realm he stumbled upon this gigantic, hideous, muscular, one eyed oni monster. Quan Chi made him an offer to join him and fight the earth warriors, in exchange to allow him to eat them. The one eyed monster(Cyclops) accepted the offer. Before Quan was about to leave the nether realm he discovered the original sub-zero. He told him he'd turn him into an ice spectre and bring him back to earth if he protects him from Scorpion. Sub-Zero accepted. After they arrived on Earth Quan Chi told Cyclops to help Shang Tsung defeat Kung Lao(They were fighting at that acid bath stage in MK:DA). By the time Cyclops got there Kung Lao already sliced Shang Tsung in half with his razor sharp hat. Just after Kung killed Shang Cyclops jumped out of nowhere, grabbed Kung Lao, and threw him so far he nearly fell in the acid. Cyclops roared and told Kung Lao he's going to kill him and eat him as if he's dog meat. Kung Lao tried to fight the monster but the monster was too huge and strong for him. Luckily for Kung Lao, The younger Sub-Zero, Jax, Kenshi, Sonya, and Cyrax arrived and started fighting against the monster. The monster was kicking all of their butts, not even their projectiles were helping them, they would just bounce off of him. Scorpion was in the background watching on, and he figured if he was going to attack Quan, now was the best time to do it since he thought he was defenseless. As soon as Scorpion reached the palace he saw Quan Chi sitting on his thrown watching his monster fight the earth warriors. Scorpion jump kicked Quan Chi off his thrown down the stairs. Scorpion yelled "Your ass is mine Quan, come here!!!". Quan Chi dodged his hardpoon attacking and cut the rope off. They start to fight for awhile, then out of nowhere the original Sub-Zero appears out of nowhere and starts fighting Scorpion. While Scorp and Sub were fighting Quan ran off to assist his weakening Cyclops. While Scorp was fighting Subby he realized Subby was now just as strong as he was now and if they were to continue fighting it would never end. To make Subby stop fighting him Scorp pointed out that his Quan Chi is his younger brothers enemy and was plotting to kill him. When Subby first heard this he said "I don't believe you!!!" Scorp then said "Look out the window fool!!!" When Subby saw his brother in agony at the hands of Quan Chi. He decided to stop fighting Scorp and help his younger bro defeat both the monster and Quan Chi. Scorp followed after Subby. Subby helped his younger bro, and the rest of the earth warriors defeat the monster by using their combined strength and push Cyclops using all their knowledge of martial arts into the acid bath. Quan Chi was able to temporaily knock Scorpion out and he almost pushed the younger Sub-Zero using his skull projectile, but older subby caught him just in time. Jax tried to use the ground pound to knock Quan off balance but he missed, Sonya tried to use her ring projectile but Quan ducked, then Cyrax launched out one of his grenades and blew Quan right into the air. Scorpion got up caught Quan while in mid air and told Quan "It's time to come home with me Quan" and Scorpion teleports to hell taking Quan with him" Raiden then appears to all of them asking if Kung Lao was alright(he was knocked out by the Cyclops) Sonya said he'll be alright. Raiden then saids, "Well I need him to heal as fast as possible because a new threat is about to come" Out of nowhere they see this image of the Dragon King in the sky, and in the distance they see this huge army approaching(Leading to MK6).
