I'm sorry that this is in the wrong forum but no one would give any replies in the MK Media since nobody goes in so here is my idea for a movie about them:

Set during Vietnam the war entangles three souls from around the world. When Hanzo Hasashi, codenamed Scorpion, leads his team against an American platoon only two of them survive. Before he can execute them his camp is raided by a renegade group of soldiers known as the Lin Kuei. Hanzo's team is wiped out and the Americans are taken hostage never to be seen again. When the war ends Hanzo's hatred is fueled by the Lin Kuei and he joins another secret organization known as the Shirai Ryu. It seems that these two clans are rivals seeking control over Asia and Hanzo becomes one of their most talented assassins. To prove himself worthy Scorpion and his ninjas search for a group of Lin Kuei training in the mountains of Tibet. What he discovers is that the two Americans he failed to kill years ago, who are in fact brothers, have been training for a long time and mastered many unique abilities and have become the fifth and sixth generations of the warrior Sub-Zero, an legend to the Lin Kuei...

And just to add something about Deception I think Sektor will survive it

They became enemies because Scorpion thought Sub Zero murdered his entire family (pre-MK1) ... when it was actually Quan Chi. Scorpion found out in MK4 and took Quan Chi to hell with him until Quan escaped during DA.

Changing the idea of what MK is about is just wrong.

Clans becoming Soldiers? The Sub-Zero brothers being American? nah, I can't see it working as a serious film.

Sektor surviving what?

I don't like the way you set it in the Vietnam war, it ruins the fantasy. Also the Sub Zero brothers were abandoned in China by an American woman (for FLSTYLE).

To be brutally honest I don't like that story at all and it doesn't feel like Mortal Kombat at all.

Yeah but it's because they were in China, and brought up as Chinese that they were Lin Kuei and have the powers they have and who they are today, or were in Elder's case

otherwise they wouldn't be ninjas, wouldn't have anything to do with the storyline and basically would be one of the everyday people.

BRENDAN this hasn't got anything to do with Deception and doesn't belong here. I would say the reason you got no replies in MK Media is because it is a dull concept. But keep up the enthusiasm and I'm sure you're next one will be more interesting!

FLSTYLE your last post was self-explanitory :P

Vietnam War ?!

NAAAAAAAAAAH !!!

It would destroy all the mysticism built around the "Ninjas" storyline ! What is this, Mortal Kobat or Tour of Duty ?!
