ok, i know there is a thread for this already, but i just doubt any1 will scroll through 13 pages to read my post. so w/o further adue here is what i want in MK6:

1. real final boss who is a NON-playable character. the final boss should be VERY hard to beat on any difficulty setting. he/she should be very big in size, should look very menacing, should have some very cool looking and very damaging moves/combos and when defeated should vanquish in some spectacular fasion (something like Shang Tsung in MK) and oh yeah, did i mention, make him/her a NON-playable character.

2. one fatality per character plus stage fatalities. come up with some INNOVATIVE (no old fatalities please) and creative fatalities (CYRAX's fatality in MKDA was pretty cool).

3. have FMVs for endings.

4. put it on one console only. that way no time and effort that would be wasted on porting for multiple consoles. i would suggest XBox as it is the most powerful of all 3 consoles and has good online capabilities.

5. keep the Konuest mode, but make it more diverse, i.e. not just "do this move", "do this combo", "defeat yourself 3 out of 5" for every character. be a little more creative as to the amount of actions performed in each characters Konuest. for example, instead of hitting an opponent, one could practice with a punching bag of sorts, or that thing they use in martial arts training (i don't know what exactly it's called, it's this wooden thingy with sticks coming out of it for legs and hands), or breaking bricks or something.

6. keep and expand the Krypt mode, that was cool. maybe that's asking too much, but including a playable version of MK1 or MK2 would rule. of course those should be very, very hard to unlock.

7. more single player modes. something like Tekken's Tekken Force mode or VF4:Evolution's Quest mode comes to mind. include elements of martal arts training in the single playes mode/s, i.e. running, jumping, endurance exercises, getting higher and higher degrees of skill (something like red belt, black belt, etc., whatever the degree is called for the respective martial art). that last thing could beautifully tie in with my next idea, i.e. characters should NOT be able to perform all of the moves in their arsenal from the beginning of the game, as they progress in their mastery of their respective martial art they should be acquiring new moves and combos. that way there will be an incentive for gamers to keep playing so they can learn new moves with their favorite character.

8. keep the gameplay with the 3 martial arts per character, i loved it, but give them new moves, although not all moves should be available from the beginning (look 7 above).

9. for the online mode, do something like player rankings with wins/loses ratio and percentage, player skills charts, etc. just go crazy on the stats, gamers will in turn go crazy in trying to improve their stats so that they are better than the rest of the gamers out there. that would bring in an immense replay value.

10. put Raiden in.

11. see 10.

I nearly jumped out of my chair when you said one console, then you said x box. 75% percent of the market is PS2, what you said was way too extreme. So people with a playstation 2 cannot play?

One thing that you said was true was that you need rankings (wins/loses) on online play.

actually i do agree with you in the sense that it should probably be on PS2 just so that it would be profitable, but i definitely thik it should be one console only.

Well personally.

1. Hoping for a deeper fighting system. The 3 styles per character was good, however some characters and moves were totally unballanced. More specific combos instead of one long one with different names.

2. An art direction that makes them look slightly less like action figures.

3. The whole quest mode should involve more than what it was previously. It could work similar to the one in VF 4: Evo, except more of a side scrolling street final fight type thing.

4. Keep the storylines going. I want to see how things work out between Frost and Sub-Zero, if Scorpion will be back etc. More character, story interludes besides the beginning and end.

5. Make the stages slightly more interactive, like the leveled system in DOA. Give it actual walls that can be broken through and such.

6. Frost!

7. Fatalities (good ones!) and stage specific Fatalities.

8. If It's online enabled. Give it rankings and such.

9. Release and work on it it for one console first (preferably the PS2), later you can port it over to the Gamecube and X-box.

Man you had me until the one consol only. I know that would make the game better but it just doesn't seem fair to the MK community.

i see your point about some people not being able to play it, but i really do believe the MK community as a whole will be better served if the development team devoted all of their creative efforts on making one really, really good game as opposed to two or three versions of the game that would probably not be as good.
