I have with this game is that they're gonna throw in some dumbed down "finishers". I was pretty excited when I saw the trailer, actually.. but when i heard about the "finishers" thing I started getting unsure.
I would've been ok if only the mk guys had fatalities and the dc guys had some sort of finisher. That would've made since.. I mean.... they'd just be less bloody fatalities. Maybe just a cool takedown or knockout or something.
That would be alright.. but not the mk characters.. that's just not like them.
Also.. if this is based from the comics (I'm not that much of a comic kinda guy.. so correct me if I'm wrong) didn't joker fucking MURDER robin? I'm pretty sure he beat the shit out of him with a hammer or something.
I really don't think DC characters are all that innocent.. In the cartoons batman would never kill anyone.. but this batman is the one from the comics.
this game's probably not getting a T rating anyhow.. did you see how much blood came off their faces in the trailer?

Maybe the finishers are something you do when your opponent's health is nearly depleted. Like instead of just beating them, you can activate some badass special to finish the fight.
meh, that's the best I can come up with. If they have finishers that work like the Super Arts in SF, then they better speed up the gameplay to make it work. Put in a way to cancel the attack or something, I dunno
I imagine Superman's would be like Uppercut into the stratosphere followed by
haymaker back to Earth where his opponent creates a crater with the whole terminal velocity thing. They can still be intact not squished like it would be IRL or MK but more like Capcom.
Sub-Zero can still do the ice shatter.
