My opinion/conclusion on Fight Night Chat

Like many of you, I'm excited about this upcoming event. But after finishing college and becoming older and wiser, I have realized how much strategic and marketing planning goes into a game. I know this seems like a lot of jibberish, but hear me out. The Midway team wants to make a substantial profit from the only game franchise (Mortal Kombat) that really brings in all the big bucks. This means increasing buyers with replay potential. Do you guys honestly believe that all will be revealed on Fight Night? Do I have to remind you of MK: DA Fight Night? If everything was revealed, we would quickly unlock everything only to discontinue playing the game in about 3-6 months because there's nothing left to discover. I plan to enjoy a great chat with the MK team and possibly Boon himself. I have no specific question that I want answered. But don't expect all the secrets to be revealed. Consider yourselves lucky if one secret is leaked. So in other words, don't sit on your butt waiting for Fight Night. Turn on your XBOX & PS2 and let's continue to explore! This is just my opinion.

The last fight night did have alot of information. Thats when they finally told us there were no second fatalities or stage fatalities after we were looking for them. Although that was also when that stupid "the final secret" thing was made.
They also talked about how there was another hallway you could go through which was going to be a cheat menu, but it was removed.
I think they will say something about the "Super Unlockables" Ed mentioned in interviews. I bet he will say that there were more characters, but Noob/Smoke was merged and that allowed for the other characters to be put on screen.

Great Notions guys,
It is true - the marketing which has helped position MK where it is today has
been a huge factor with the unlockables.
If anything hopefully the MK team will clearify with some info and perhaps
explain what areas of the game were affected due to memory limitations.
i.e. With the addition of two expanded mini-games and the konquest, 24
characters. Perhaps this is the reason for a smaller krypt size.
Personally it is a relief that the MK squad has/had taken the time to pay respect
to the franchise by revisiting so many characters and story lines.
Thats that.

What they need to do is admit if there are more than 24 players playable in arcade mode so we arent wasting our time with that.
If they don't touch on the subject at all, I for one will give up hope on that area and just keep playing the regular game for awhile.
Though I would like an MK game where everything they claimed would be in the game makes it to the game. It just seems stupid that an E3 Interview, or an interview in a magazine only 2 months old said there were features in the game that were then removed.
And all those models for MK:DA fighters not unlockable is just a deliberate ploy so we don't get more than our money's worth.

I hope we are told alot of half truths. That way the 30 % of people that have already given up on this game, will come back and play a little longer. What ever info there is needs to be put out there and quick. Why in gods name would you run around Konquest looking for stuff when you could be playing GTA SA or Halo2? Don't get me wrong I would choose to play MKD over those games but most of the other people I talk and play games with, could give 2 shits about MKD when there are other games to play.
I am just mad that I have got to wait tell Monday. Laters DSB

Hey as long as Eddy confirms more secrets than Liu Kang and Raiden that's fine by me. He, for sure, won't reveal how to get these super-secrets but it 'll give hope for us.

Molson81 - chess is the best new feature in my opinion too...
Hopefully clearity will come from fight night. To give gamers a better
direction to focus their efforts. If not like always we can be assured
time will tell. MKD has been the best game so far this year and will
be on everyones minds for time to come.
Cheers.

There are people that would actually play MK:D for 3-6 months? Seriously? I for one hope that there is more to the game...then perhaps I'll have something new to do now that I've finished everything.
You'd really play MKD over GTA: SA or f*cking HALO 2?
Really?
Have you been checked out by a medical professional? Cause I really think you should be.

Well, I'm guessing that online play should keep people playing for a while. That's if we can keep the cheap players off. I wish their was something they could do about that. I haven't played online in quite some time. Maybe the MK team with some kind of online update. Thinking along the lines of Ninja Gaiden Hurricane pack. Of course I mean for both XBOX & PS2. Well, we will find out something.
