as you can see on the chess board there are only scorpion, quan chi and kitana chess peices. my thory is that to decide who is to make the next move you have to battle it out between player's 1 and player's 2 peices one at a time, hence why i think there was footage of Quan Chi and Scorpion. let me know what you think about this theory!
