5. More moves and fatalities: We all heard people argue about if DA should have had more fatalities and moves. Some said that if gameplay suffered it was worth the sacrafice. We can assume they will build off the DA fighting engine (for better or worse?) so they should time to add more moves. Every character should have at least 6 moves (and not all -or any- have to be projectiles) and at least 2 fatalities, and I would not mind friendships.
4. Characters: Bring back old, have many new. But I am not just saying have a lot of characters (but I do want a lot of characters too) but have them well thought out and with multiple costumes. Also have a clear defined reason for every non secret character to be in the game. Also more more more secret characters. Someone else suggested -in another post- that a hidden character could burst out of a statue and I love this idea. I have also made vocal that I would like a Street Fighter'esc hidden boss, and fighting that boss would be the only way to get good endings (were your characters don't get killed by their enimies in their OWN ending) and said secret boss may be Kahn.
3. Little extras that make a big difference: another active thread right now is about the tearing of clothes which I think is an important feature. Also, as RedScorpio mentioned, bruises on characters. Clothes getting blood stained and / or wet is something else I would like to see. Another test your game would be a good addition. I would also put some cheats (similar to MKT) in this one: I would love a level selecter, amoung other things. I will also nitpick about MKDA's graphics here. They need to be better. What I mean by that is more fluid charater movements, the holding of weapons (you know the problem were all of a sudden the handle is on top of there hand not behind), and much more.
Also extras like many different ways of falling down and getting up, as well as every character having a unique winning pose.
2. Levels: So much needs to be done. I will start with design. The levels don't need to be round. The levels should be different shapes and sizes depending on the level. The level should not have barriors -unless they can make those barriors actual objects like walls, the level should not always be flat -I want to fight an opponent on a stair chase or maybe on a hill. I feel like when MK developers talk about more interactive enviroments they are talking more about adding stuff to grab or things to deal damage (not that those are bad) when they should focus more on having levels that are not all flat and round. Not all levels should have things to damage you but some should. There should be at least 3 levels with a stage fatality.
I also want to talk about the style and names of the levels. Someone in another post mentioned that all the levels have an asian-like style. I agree with him. And while that is not nessecarily a bad thing, not all levels should have the same theme. I do want all the levels to be a bit darker, of course depending on if they are inside or outside. And lets get back to simple but kool names like: living forsest, goro's lair, etc.
Outdoor arenas should have times of the day. The same arena should be designed to have a sun set, sun rise, night, and day mode. That would be kool, too. And finally there should be many levels, at least 20 well thought out, different, levels.
1. Gameplay: of course to many of us gameplay is very important cause if it is not fun to play, then whats the point of playing?
This is a hard area for the MK Dev team cause they will never make all of us happy. And also IMO, if I asked people on these boards what they thought of DA's gameplay, I would get mixed responses. I think we all can argree it could be made better. My addition to DA would be this:
-A more realistic (maybe that is not the right word?...) blocking system. I would have a block system that allows you to really block punches or kicks, and all physical attacks (not projectile). I am not sure exactly how it would work but basicly you could block attacks but another character might be faster and land the punch before you block it.
-This leads me to the next enhancment: dodging. Not like in MK4, a system were you can dodge an attack without moving your feet. By leaning your body in different directions. This would also include throwing puches and kicks in certain directions making for hard to block attacks, amoung other things.
-Counters: I am not sure how they should make it happen but good counters for every character would be good. It could lead into a grapple, of sorts, or a throw.
-More realistic wait time after moves: sometimes you do a move that you recover from too quickly. Many other times you are stuck in a simple move like a punch for far to long (I am talking about in DA) This needs to be addressed.
-A custom combo system were if you time it right you can string together any moves.
-Much more to come....
OK there goes. Sorry it was so long. Now what do you guys think and what would be your top 5, or 10, etc?
BTW this is all asuming the games is based off MKDA's fighting engine.

I agree with everything you posted, and I wouldn't change a thing. As for my idea for MK 6, just keep it 3d like MK:DA, but have an interesting story as well as kickass gameplay.

Thanks, TheMKGeek.
I might add 2 on 2 to number 3 (if that sentence makes any sense?). Either 2 on 2 at once or like in MKT were when one died another came out. But I would not want the game to focus to heavily on that like Tekken Tag- its a cool feature but there needs to be a strong focus on one on one.

Makes total sense. I've never played MK:TE or Tekken Tag, but a feature like that would make the game interesting.

and the rumoured tag fatals that was going to be in mkda that would rock imagine scorpian and sub-zero doing a fatality scorpian on the right side of the oppenent sub-zero on the left both running into to the opponent which causes the body to explode

In MK2 for SegaG., we used to use Shang and morphed into Sub and did deep freeze, then we would finish it with another fatality like Scorp's toasty. It always messed up the sprites. Anyone else do this?

Anyone have a list? I want to see your list of most important features and in what order.

I will add a concept I have thought about since Mythologies... when MK6 is released- release a MK Action game staring a brand new character and use that to build his/her/its story as well as some other new characters and old ones too. Toward the end of the game you might have to make a difficult choice and in MK6 might have a vague ending like "...always has to live with their choice..." or some crap like that.

And if Johhny is going to be in the game he better be bustin balls!
For me the most important thing in a new Mortal kombat is:
1. Stage Fatalities- I think that in DA there was great stages for stage fatalities and in my opinion a mortal kombat without stage fatalities is not a mortal kombat.
2. more than one fatality per character- they can do the same as in Tournament Edition where they have Weapons fatalities. For me its boring doing the same fatality all the time, I like to change the fatality when i play the other games.
3. Secret Codes like in MK Trilogy- It was cool to make the codes in Trilogy and in the SNES games of MK3 and UMK3. Like the codes for one button fatalities, stage select, and secret stages.
4. I would like to see a new character like an Elder god like in the sketches that are in the kript in DA.
5. It will be good to have a special mode of play like a game base in MK Mythologies.
Well that's what I like to see in the next MK (e.g. MK6) Hope you like it.

So we all know for better or worse MK6 will be online. There has been much debate about this. I don't have a problem with it being online if a few conditions are met. First I think it needs to have a good story and a strong single player version. Many online games lack strong single player modes. Very few have strong single player modes (jedi knights series stands out as one of the few). I would also like to see my 1-5 addressed.
As for online the question remains- will MK6 be released for PC/Mac? It should be. For modes of course like everyone says being able to host a tourny, play one on one. What other online features would be good? Keeping track of stats, player profile are other things I can think of. But what else?

Yeah add stage fatalities to my number 5.
Some other things: More than two outfits per person- maybe even design outfits, as some else mentioned return of classic moves like teleports-torpedos-invisibilities-etc}

Ability to choose which fighting style you start with and the order. I know this would mess up the combo system but as I stated above the combo system should be replaced.
