Looks like Shao Kahns mask.

It could be 3 things, and I'm ordering them in terms of which is most likely.

1- The top of the staff of the Dragon King. (it looks very similar to the one he was holding in Rayden's ending)

2- The top of Quan Chi's throne.

3- Shao Kahn's new mask but it isn't metallic so this is unlikely.

It's the top part of Quan Chi's throne NOTHING else.

No one knows what it is.It looks like Quans throne yes,but in this new installment we cannot say what it is.There can only be speculation.

I think it is the top part of the Dragon King's staff. I'm not sure how to post pics but look at Rayden's ending, look at the staff the Dragon King is holding, it looks very similar to that skull with the weird things coming off of it.

i think that it is quan-chis living weapon

I very much doubt that. Quan's living weapon was just an idea and besides that it was living, this is a dead solid skull. The living weapon was a rotting head attached to a staff.

It is not the staff of the Dragon King that looks totaly different its just quan chi his thrown from MKM SZ nothing more.

B@ckfire.You say Shao Kahn being in the game is nonsense.Well here is something to think about.The title is called deception correct?Did Shangtsung and Quanchi not decieve Shao Kahn?Baraka is back in the game.Was Baraka not one of Shao Kahns outworld army leaders?Just something to think about.It can very well happen since Shao Kahn is not a mortal.The story would fit like a glove.

Personally I don't think its either. Welcome to the world of MK. Many different things look similar. It was a prop that has-IMO-0% impact on the game.
