I have been playing online on ps3 (about 250 matches) and a friend of mine has just started playing (about 50 matches)... but for some reason it won't let us play together. We both have high-speed internet through comcast, both show a full signal in the game room, it starts to connect the match, but before it can get to the character select screen it says something like "this game session is no longer available."

It will let me play almost anyone else in there, and it will let him play anyone else, but not each other. I've only had this happen with 2 or 3 other users in the game room and I would just pick someone else, but with this being a friend, I'd like to figure out how to play him. Any ideas? Anyone have this happen before?

I've had this happened before at least 3 times... it's just a lousy signal. For some odd reason the connection online is really awkward and I could be playing someone with a really good signal and all of a sudden by the time after either one of us accepts the offer to fight against each other it takes a super long time to load than fail.

It's just the connection online play... it sucks seriously it does.

Just a suggestion - invite your friend round to your house and play on the same console. I mean, it's not like you have created characters or anything to make you worry about save files.

Other than that, I can't help you.... I've only been able to have 1 battle online (against someone who spammed Superman's ground pound), the rest disconnected as soon as the first round starts.
