New direction or symbols in MK?

Well in MK:DA I noticed alot of egyptian symbols, and I was wondering what your views on this direction are? Do you think it has any relevance to MK or is just used because the dev. team couldn't think of any other symbols to use at the time?

EX.
1. Eye of Horas(sp) on the front of the table in the Test Your Sight game.

2. Dragon Kings Army in a desert pyramid.

3. Sarcophogus(sp) in the pyramid and for some reason I'm not sure where I heard this but something about the Dragon King being held in one, maybe just a rumor though??

What are your opinions on this, or am I just thinking too much?

they can take whatever from what ever religion

Sounds interesting, I like elaberate symbols and such to be around in the background, or even on fighters. Perhaps the time of the Egyptians was the last time the Dragon King was awake? It would be cool to see an Egyptian type warrior in MK6, maybe a member of TDK's undefeatable army. More than just some skeleton of course, in fact, if you look at the drawing you find of Kai in the krypt, he sort of has that egyptian feel to him. I didn't really like him so much in MK4, design and story were to simple. But a look like he had in that drawing; I'd like to see a character who looked that way.
