Recently I was browsing through the ever interesting Koncept Art section of the Kontent option under my profile name when I ran across an interesting sketch, it was simply a well done drawing of the character known as Drahmin in his MKDA alternate outfit, however when I read the information provided on the picture something else about it struck my interest, it was simply a note on the picture that indicated that Drahmin was in "burial garb" at first it seemed unimportant, afterall Drahmin is kind of like a mummy. But that simple assumption was dismissed when I encountered another sketch detailing Drahmin's banishment to the Netherrealm, this is where the confusion began.

Thinking back on the information we have about Drahmin we know that he was once a powerful and cruel Warlord in outworld most likely, we also know that in time he was banished to the netherrealm where he underwent centuries of torture and pain to eventually become the hatred driven Oni Tormenter, Drahmin. Everything about Drahmin seems to support this story, that is except for his "burial garb" because if he was infact banished to the Netherealm, what burial could he have possibly recieved? Which now brings me to the Dragon King, from what we know he was once a powerful and unconquerable king, most likely of outworld, we are also informed that he died, of what or by who is not known, it is only known that he died. Such a prominent figure would definately have recieved a proper burial. So my point is maybe, just maybe Drahmin may infact be the Dragon king, while his body was being wrapped and buried his soul was banished to the Netherrealm only to reenter his body as the Oni Tormenter. This may not seem logical in a sense and I in no way am garanteeing this theory as fact but despite Reptile's ending this theory could still work out. Let me put it this way, lets say both Reptile's and Drahmin's endings occured, Drahmin would be in the midst of a battle with Quan Chi and Reptile would be tracking Nitara and Cyrax through the lava Shrine. Drahmin and Quan Chi would eventually stumble into the Inner Sanctum and eventually Drahmin would emerge, possibly restored to his former self, now lets just say that at that very moment, the moment when Drahmin emerged from the Inner Sanctum, Reptile was standing before the last dragon egg, if Drahmin was infact restored to his human form and as the Dragon King, then the egg would hatch and blast Reptile, it is my belief that Reptile did not become the Dragon King but instead was in the right place at the right time and only became more powerful. Just a thought, let me know what you think.

NOTE: I am aware of the statement made at fightnight confirming Reptile as the DK, but that was early, storyline changes can still be made besides Reptile's history does not really support the idea of him being the DK.

Wow, I almost wish I would saved my Cheech and Chong joke for this thread.

Drahmin is not the Dragon King. I'm sorry, but this story makes very little sense.
