since we may not see shinnok, shao kahn, fujin, raiden. chances are we will have good gods to protect earthrealm and evil gods to take earthrealm over in a tournament called mk8. so i will make a guess on the future gods in future installments and feel free to say what types of gods will be in mk8 and future installments.

water god- his moves would mimic the waves of the ocean so that he could inflict pain on all who dares to threaten earthream. very similar to the water villian in spiderman but with a more humanish look. (good)

pyro/fire god- he would be able to create volcanos to rupture, causing it to spew out lava. turn himself on fire creatng somewhat of a flame shield damaging people who come to close. manipulate all things that are super hot. (probably be evil.)

nature or earth god- living on earthrealm inhabiting the living forest while helping and training the new fighters to protect earthream. with mighty power this god can create thorny vines to enare its enemies, create earthquakes, summon the animals to attack and protect the forest and among other things. (good)

dreams/psychic god- lives in every mortals imagination and is not afraid
to disobey the rules and guidelines of the other gods. preys on damaging your mind by using telekinesis and creating horrible dreams that appear in reality. similar to freddy kreuger. (evil)
