Just imagine some kind of nasty, dark chamber, think The Armor in MK2 except the walls, or two specific walls have spikes on them, for a fatality, the character could kick them into the walls spikes?

Good idea, I always liked the armory stage and the wall spikes would be an excellent fatality for that stage.

One thing I like about The Armoury in MK2 is that it REALLY has that Mortal Kombat feeling. Those heavily detailed stone walls and pillars and those weapon racks about the place. Some nasty spikes on the walls would be pretty cool. I'm not how it can be made so that the player doesn't go into them during the round, perhaps a sort of like have ornate metallic handrails infront of them, but the stage fatality, the opponent kicks them through that handrail thing infront of the spikes and into the wall spikes which would pierce them everywhere. The type of attack to send them into the wall spikes and forcing them through the handrail could be something like the Tae Kwon Do kick that kicks them away from the character a great distance, or like that Tai Chi punch that pushes the character a far distance ahead.

Also, perhaps there could be an option to set that particular arena to a sudden death? where both opponents need to be extra careful not to be pushed into the spikes at any instant?

Thoughts, opinions?

Thats a cool idea, I think it would also be cool if the character could use the weapons in the weapon rack or there could be two stage fatalities on one stage because if I remember correctly there was a stream of hot lava or molten lead in the background of the armory which could also serve as a stage fatality.

Good idea, two stage fatalities per stage, VERY interesting. That doesn't mean all stages need two stage fatalities per stage, but perhaps one like this could. That could vary it up a bit. One end is more likely for wall spikes stage fatality and the other a pool of lava. Interesting.

well I do think that it should be that how many stage fatalities should be affect by what type of stage it is. Not every stage will have a stage fatalities

I'm still guessing they'll go for one, because with MK6, as with MK:DA, they'll still want to keep emphasis on fighting(which is the best idea), but this time round, add the little extras that we so dearly wanted.

Definetly! That's a great idea. I always like the pit fatalities with the spikes. Just so typical of Mortal Kombat, which I like.

Yes, spike stage fatalities are very "MK-ish". So far, we've seen them in the ground and ceiling, but not in the walls, now, with full 3d Mortal Kombat it could look really great. I mean, look how great it looks when a character is impaled by a sword, just imagine many of those going through the characters head, stomach, neck and all over the place, with blood spurting out.

I would actually prefer for the stage to be spike-free at first, like the inside of a medieval castle tower. After beating someone, and upon using the Stage Fatality combination, the character in question would concentrate, would throw the enemy through the barrier (using an attack which would be different for every enemy, like Cage would kick, Jax would throw him), and a trap would activate, making the walls fill with spikes (sort of like the ancient traps some secret places used to have, in order to keep unexpected visitors out...or dead) and...well, just use your imagination to see the fatality itself.

Actually, I think they were toying around with wall spikes in MK3 in the Soul Chamber. There was a Making of MK3 special on tv a long time ago, and Goskie (think it was him) was showing a Soul Chamber sketch with one of the walls having spikes on it-it seemed to be on a cart with wheels.
But yeah, bring back the spikes man!
