Im not gonna make the same mistake when MKDA was released. I bought a strategy guide for it and read all the spoilers. Well not this time! Buying a strategy guide for a mortal kombat game is like buying one for a final fantasy game, you ruin all the mystery and story.

There are other reasons to buy a strategy guide. You may like the renders/sketeches/pics that can be exclusive to the guide. You get all the stories (and endings) of the charatcers, learn about all the ins and outs of the game.

I'll buy it, but not for a long time after I buy MKD, cus I prefer to find everything I can on my own first. But I do like to go back and unlock/find things I never found on my own.

Yes they give you all the moves, fatalities and combos - but you can do what I do and buy it after you've played MKD to the max.

And some people like to collect them as well...

I use strat guides so I can scan the art, but that's about it. Onimusha 3 strat guide = juicy. Some of the strat guides are fricken sexy with their art and design now-a-days.

I might buy it, but I'll probably just abuse Gamefaqs. I'm cheap. I find it annoying that were expected to pay fifty bucks for a game and then shill out another 14 or 15 dollars on a guide.

I love strategy guides. They're not real useful to the actual gameplay. But the artwork and what have you is nice. I hope MATII also gets a strategy guide. I want some of the old school Primal Rage artwork.

GOd scorpion u don;t know when to shut up do yah. How about when it comes time you sow wat you got online. Maybe he wants the stragety guide so if he misses anything he goes through the 2nd time and finds it.

Wow this thread started off with a bang. Not nice to say mean things to our friends. To answer the question who won't buy or use a strat guide? Everyone will need to learn the fatal moves. Even those who say they won't will some how get there paths crossed with someone that did get a guide. Do you know hard it would be to learn 80 plus fatalities? I will get a guide and use it to learn all the stuff my old mind can't think of. The only part of MKD I plan on not useing it for will be Konquest mode. Wisemen, Dmitch you guys keep your chin up I know how good you two are at MK games. If someone bad mouths you turn your cheek and meet them later on the battle feild. See ya DSB
