Well its a topic about the next mk game so it isn't totally off topic...

I personally would LOVE to see one of Shang Tsung..how he came to power, and maybe what he was like before he and Kahn met...could be some cool stories there.

How about having a mythologies for every character in MK6? It could be the story part of the game.

I would have liked to have seen one about Liu Kang, like John Tobias had wanted & planned to do. It would have been great to learn of Liu Kang's backstory, the Shaolin Temples, maybe throw in Kung Lao and Kai. Learning his reasons for leaving the Order of Light to join the White Lotus Society. Perhaps feel in the mystery of his brother, Chow. I'd also like to have found out why he recieved personal invitation to the Mortal Kombat tournament, and why Kung Lao chose to leave the Order of Light as well. I'm sure Kung Lao had obligations to win back the tournament that he did not agree with for some reason. He didn't seem to want any part of Mortal Kombat until his fellow shaolin brothers were killed by Shao Kahn's forces, led by Baraka after Liu Kang won the tournament. I think Liu Kang had more to his background then was apparrent in the games, and it's a shame we'll never know. However, since John Tobias is no longer involved with MK, I don't think I want any to see a Liu Kang Mythology game anymore. I still feel it was a mistake killing off the shaolin hero, and I don't want anyone messing up his backstory. Man, I miss John Tobias' presense in MK. But he left for understndable reasons, so he has my support on that.

I'd still like to see a mythologies based around Scorpion, but Raiden and Shang have the best stories to be told IMO.

I would like a Shang Tsung Mythologies, showing his entire MK path, up until MKDA. I mean, the stuff he went through between games. They could make it a RPG/Adventure game, with multiple quests, and optional quests you would get from other people and stuff. It would really rock. Just as long as they don't make it 2D Platform Game...

I'd also like to see Smoke's Mythologies, with his path after MK2 (the training for the game would have him joining the Lin Kuei), but they would have to come up with powers for him, and to do that, they would have to present them in a formal MK Tournament game.

Actually, I remember John Tobias expressing interest in a Raiden game as well. I wonder where they would go with Scorpion's story though. Would his game be before he becomes a spector, or his life in the Netherealm before he MK tournament? After all, some of his background was already told in Sub-Zero's game. As for Shang Tsung, he's on my hate list because of what he did to my favorate character. Still, I'm sure he does have an interesting backstory to tell. A long one at that.
