I think that MKD is playing it smart. All of the ninjas look great and each of them has a different kind of look.

SUB-ZERO (The shredder/bald look are awesome!)
SCORPION (Good but I hope his Alt. costume is badass)
ERMAC (Looks like an actual ninja!)
NOOB SAIBOT (Seems to look as if he was in MK:A)

sadly i missed the parts were guys like ermac and noob and smoke came in... but all i want is for each person to have their own unique look.. not like mortal kombat 1 and 2 were they pretty much took the same guy, colored him green or blue.. gave him a new name.. then filled up the rosters with the clones.. the main three ninjas that i can say "belong" in mortal kombat are the originals sub-zero, scorpion, and reptile..

Is it me, or the ninjas seems to take a bot to much place.
I mean, finaly it's not pallette swap, wich is good, but they should bring back old folks or create new caraters for new story lines...

Ninja:
Scorpion
Sub-Zero
Ermac
Noob
Mileena (if she's there we might see Kitana and-or Jade... and maybe Scarlet)

I think, in my opinion, that it's enough... but the desing are GREAT

I really hope they haven't put in any more old ninjas than we've already seen, except maybe Kitana, Cyrax and Sektor. True, they may look unique enough now, but they still have the stigma of originating as pallette swaps. Don't get me wrong, I like Ermac and Noob, but at this point it's enough.

All them look great. Especially Mileena, Sub and Ermac. Kitana and Reptile will be back most definitely. I'm hoping Kitana has a new look. And I also hope Reptile loks good too. The whole individuality of the ninjas now is amazing!
