posted10/24/2004 06:05 AM (UTC)bywell, i have this question since quite a long time, but its probably a real dull question for you guys...but I havent played DA nor deception since i've only got a PC...but my question has to do with noob smoke...the first time i read this name, I thought they became one person or something like that...that they had emerged...but they are still 2 separate characters...so, when you choose to play with noob smoke...do you fight with 2 characaters against one?or do you have the choice to choose with who you play...noob or smoke...simple question but I like to know...
if you cant give a normal answer for you think its a stupid question, then please dont open your mouth...thank you

it's a fair question. What they have done wit noob-smoke is quite unique. They are however one charactor, and sort of, tag team, if you will. The first fighting style is noob. Using the switch style button, smoke comes in, and vice versa. Because of the sheer power these two create, it seems that the MK Co. decided to not give them a weapon however. Each charactor, when on his fighting style, has his own special moves, along with a few that can happen reguardless of style. Hope this helps.

ah I get it thank you...something like royal rumble, that real old game or the super nintendo
where you can clap hands when the other team member has to come in the ring
quite a nice thing indeed, what they have done with noob smoke...

its something like Tekken Tag, the character flees to the side of the screen and the other character comes out. I like it if you ask me.

yes although it's not a new thing...one of the street fighter versions had it as well..i cant recall which one for there are way too many..
They don't have a weapon style, but they make up for it with 9 (!) special moves. Fighting against them is VERY disorienting. They don't always back off the edge of the screen. They teleport, ninja vanish, turn invisible, come up behind you, etc. Sometimes both charaacters are on-screen at once. Best character EVAR!

yeah he's pretty awesome, somehow when I play online as him, I get lots of reponses saying "I'm the best Noob-Smoke out there"
From my perspective, it's not entirely true but I appreciate the comments
No joke, I am a challenge with Noob Smoke on Xbox live
gamertag=AlEXEI09
its an uncapitalized "L" after the A just so everyone knows
I'll be online around the evening tonight and maybe tomorrrow as well since I got the day off work

Lame "character." Yeah, it's fun to watch a good N-S player because he's all over the place (and sickeningly cheap at times), but the idea itself is stupid.
I wouldn't mind a tag mode in MK, but if they're going to do it they need to go the full nine. I really wish you had the opportunity to play as a standalone "complete" version of Noob Saibot and Smoke.
That name doesn't do much for me either. I know the "Saibot" part is a little deemphasized now that Tobias is gone from Midway, but Smoke - Saibot just sounds better.

Noob-Smoke always sounded like bad online lingo to me. "Oh man you just got noob smoked!" Or when you beat a really bad or new player, it's a noob smoke. I don't know, it just sounds funny.
At first, I thought this was a terrible idea. Then when I played as Noob-Smoke, or even better, saw other, better players play as him online, I saw how ingenious this setup was. To me, it's one of those characters that's like, if you're really good with Noob-Smoke, you know you're a really great player.
The only real problem I have with this idea is that it would also be good to play with them both seperately, each with their own three styles and such. But you can't have everything.
