Oddly similar Characters...

Have you notice that characters that are oddly similar to each other are being put into deception? Smoke and Scorpion are both in the game(its happened before, but not in 3-D)... Li Mei and Mileena had some similarities, being that Li Mei uses sais among other things(though I am not sure if they both are confirmed... Mileena is duh but not sure about Li Mei). Ermac and Blind Kenshi are both in the game, both telekinetic... Supposedly these characters are going to be revamped and entirely unique, but I just hope we don't have a bunch of clones. I think Jade should get a shot instead of Tanya or Li Mei, but thats just me. I only hope Kira isn't a Kano/Jarek rip off and that Tanya isn't a Kitana rip off... later

I was thinking the same thing... especially the
Ermac/Kenshi comparison.
At least they're making the effort to make the Ninja's
look more unique!

Yeah, I've noticed it as well.

Actually, I'm beginning to fear for the worst. Mileena had lui he ba fa in one screenshot, there's an overkill of ninjas, there's the odd absence of MANY characters considered as classic, the gameplay appearently hasn't been tweaked much (at least, the news leads rarely state something about the game being balanced, etc etc) and indeed as you say there's these resemblances...

No doubt I'm going to *hugely enjoy* playing MKDE but I would like to see more than a semi palette-swap upgrade of MKDA.

Yep sounds like it. Its got loadsa new stuff in it!
I liked the endurance from mk3 and tournament from
mk4, but will we be seeing these modes in Deception?

I seriously doubt there will be clone characters in the game. They have no excuse to do so with all the styles and move options they are working with. The characters may look similar now, but I think they'll all be very differnt and play different on MKD.

I'd like 2 see: Kitana (with her fan moves), Sonya Blade (with her original rings and windblade weapon), Seerena (with her Kamas), Nitara (with a new weapon), Jade (with her spinning hilade projectile and invincibility) or Frost (with her long a$$ combo and icycles) - rather than Mileena and Kitana clones: Tanya and Li Mei (those 2 characters where so boring and original)
