Her costumes are good (I prefer her alternate) but why doesn't she have her own moves? That sucks.

That's the biggest bad point about her.

Her MKD fighting styles are good but not the weapon and these combinations made her a mix of Kano and Sonya. I like both of them too but there are already enough characters with copied moves.
Her MKD ending was excellent but why didn't it happen? This would have make a stupid character dissapear.



If she comes back, please Midway, give her her own moves. She has good potential.

Kira was my favorite of the MKD new characters.

Appearance: I really wish her alternate costume would have been her primary. I just love that combination of fancy-ness and roughness. It makes her look like a very slick professional killer. It's awesome, and the loose red hair totally tops it off.

One thing that dissatisfies me about her alternate though is that if 2 players select her in her alt costume, one of the Kiras will have a cool tatoo-like design on her boots. Why didn't they give her that design in her normal alt costume? Ugh! ...Rudeness.

Her primary costume isn't that exciting to me. Overall I think it looks sloppy because of the preschool pigtails and messy-looking pants. It would have made a good alternate costume instead.

Personality and Story: I love it! She's tough and ferocious. Even in her victory pose you can see what a rough chick she is. Very few MK girls come with attitudes that rock like hers. It's something I wish could be explored more in the future. It reminds me a lot of Sonya's personality except this comes from an evil female, just to make it more vicious.

In her story, it's established that she's a very strong fighter since she escaped from a cave loaded with terrorist-serving men after they were all trying to kill her. That's impressive! I also like how a female "gangster" has been introduced to MK, and she's everything an MK female dragon clan member should be.

Moves and Finishers: I'm actually not unhappy with her having Kano's and Sonya's moves. True, many kombatants share or copy moves from others which can suck, but when it's done right, it's not bad, and in Kira's case, I feel it was done right. Her projectile attack is an all-new move, btw. Some might think it's a copy of Sonya's energy rings or pink ball, but no because Sonya has never had a projectile that looked exactly like that, especially not one that was a low hit.

I do wish she would have had more moves though. 3 is not enough for anyone. However, she definitely had one of the coolest Throws in the game. In mean that shit... is totally badass. It's one of my favorite Throws ever, and I'm glad they gave it to her. It has Kira written all over it.

Her fatalities were pretty standard. There wasn't anything really transcendent about them or anything, but they were still quite good. Her most memorable one of course is the one where she pulls her opponent from the stomach until he/she rips in half.

Fighting Styles: I also agree that Kenpo suited her the best. She's very fun to play as when using that style. Xing Yi gives her that really butchy feel because of the way the moves look... more suitable for a man, but it's still alright for her a little. Her weapon style was an excellent choice. Being the vicious killer that she is, she should of course have something sharp, and in her case she has 2 sharp knives. The moves were also very fitting for her as well since they look very aggressive.

Armageddon: Well she kept the same moves, which wasn't too bad, but they fucked up her fighting style. Yuan Yang is ANTI Kira. She should use grounded and rough looking styles being the tough vixen that she is, not elegant and indirect styles that seem to exemplify self-control, tameness, and discipline. That sucked for her.

Overall, I think Kira has lots of potential for future games. She was great in Deception, but I think she would have appealed to more people if only her alternate costume would have been her primary and she would have had more special moves.

I praise her though. She's an awesome badass.

I also like her MK:D ending, it kinda looked like Kabal staring at her boobs on the 2nd pic, though, that is just me, I am kinda crazy.

Kira is probably one of the more underrated characters. I actually like her quite a bit. It's nice to see a redhead female character for a change.

Look-wise, she's pretty good except for when it comes to the in-game graphics with her face up close. They need to fix that. Like QS(TB), I prefer her alternate costume look to her primary costume. I hope she can have that or something much like that if she were to return.

Story-wise, the whole selling weapons to terrorists in Afghanistan thing is very strange, but still, I like her overall story and how she is a very tactical and calculating character, something that Kabal took note of and felt was needed for his new Black Dragon clan.

I hope she survives and makes it to the next-gen MKs except move away from the Black Dragon plot. It would be interesting if Sonya and Kira were to both return and to set each other up as the antithesis of one another.

I like her fatalities. They weren't spectacular, but they were neat.

In terms of special moves, they are pretty lackluster overall. I hope that she'll get more distinctive moves and have her Nightshade hit low instead of high. Her throw is alright.

Style-wise, I felt that amongst the three unarmed styles she had, Kenpo was the best fit for her. However, I'd personally give her a new style altogether, namely Kali Sikaran, a Filipino martial art that utilizes various techniques and methods, from striking and kicking to trapping and grappling. It also contains knife and stick fighting techniques. So for her Dragon Teeth, her moveset could be based off of techniques used in the knife fighting methods of Kali Sikaran.

Overall, she has this appeal to me that makes me want to see her return. I hope they will bring her back and do more with her in the future.

One more thing I forgot to add...

Kira has... The COOLEST voice in all of MK history!!! I love her voice. It sounds so great when you throw her into the Wasteland death trap and she starts screaming.

Truly excellent voice casting for her. Her and Mileena have amazing voices, but Kira's is definitely the best.

The Intro Movie, did Kira and Sonya meet each other? No. I just saw Kira fight someone a few minutes. Phew...she didn't get push back by the aura of the pyramid. Since when I paused the video, I could see that she still stood in front of the risen Pyramid. I couldn't still stop seeing her when she was looking up at the Pyramid, Stryker started to punch Mileena in the face, he ran the upstair, she just scared and jumped a little bit like that and, all the people to start the attack the steps. Stryker grabbed Kabal's body and threw at her and a few people downstair. I was disappointed to see that it didn't show full her action in the Intro.

Kira has the same voice in Deception and Armageddon and I love it in both games. It's not the same voice recording for all the death traps. The Wasteland deathtrap is the one that has the best voice recording for her, imo.

And yes, Kira is a cool bitch.

But what killed Kira for me? The discovery of her mediocre creation when her bio card was first released with Boons extremely silly commentary about her.

I mean, its NOT THAT HARD to see the logic of the case:

If you are making a new character, that will belong to a known clan, it has to be ORIGINAL. If the known clan has had the bad luck of having a past new character that shared the same moves of a classic character of said clan and everyone hated him for that, then WHY the hell did they made this mistake with Kira?

My only word: Laziness and lack of imagination.

But it doesn’t stop there, it gets worst when they decided to give her trademarks of the most dangerous enemy of the clan.

It sucked horribly.

It didn’t help to give her styles of Kano either. Wheres the fun? She shares his styles, his powers, Sonyas powers, is involved with them....well, there is a huge hole of emptiness in her development.

Her storyline isn’t too bad though. Its actually quite interesting and needs to be developed. At least it gave her a well established personality.

As for her looks: AWESOME.

Sure she looks like all the other slutty babes of Mk (not counting Sonya and possibly Ashrah despite her alternate), but the outfits are just very elegant and pretty in a way. I do love those shorts of hers with the knifes, and the long pants with revealing stripes looks fantastic! Her alternate hair is very Sonya, but well, she does look pretty. And as for her pony tails: CUTE and sexy! Perfect.

She only looks ugly in her in-game model when doing her victory pose. But in her bio pics, when playing as her, and in her ending pics, she looks pretty.

Kira has potential, and I hope they explore it and develop it making her more original. She still suffers from lack of originality, but that can be changed if they take away those styles and special moves and weapon. Make her Kira, not a Sonya/Kano clone.

As for her relation with Kobra...interesting things could happen if she doesn’t kill him. I think Im actually more interested in how he could be developed, so maybe he could kill Kira and not the other way around.

Yeah, I wasn't too fond of her being a derivate of Kano and Sonya with the styles and specials either. At least she had her own throw, even though it was very mediocre. It sucked that she was low tier in MKD, but she is better in MKA thanks to Yuan Yang, but I don't like that style choice for her. I'd rather she use something like Kali Sikaran or one of the Silat styles.

At least Kira only has Kano's Cannonball move and Sonya's Kiss of Death. It could be worse. I don't know if I'd exactly say that she looks like all the other slutty females though maybe her alternate costume, which I like better, might be considerable as such. I think you meant pigtails for her primary costume look. I would like a costume with the hairstyle she had in her concept drawing.

As for Kobra, he is very underrated. I love it how he really feels human (for a videogame character) and psychotic. It was obviously a bad move to make him look like a SF character, but if he lives and is improved like Stryker, people will like him more. Im not really a fan of his, but I think he has potential.

Kobra also has a well established personality, what he needs is more brains and a look that doesnt resemble any other videogame character (his alt was pretty cool).

All MK females besides Sonya are slutty in some way or another, but Kira isn't too bad. She has pants in her primary and just short shorts in her alt. Cleavage, well yeah, but that's not as bad as g-strings and bathing suits like most other females.

I also think there's a lot that can be done with her considering her personality. She's savagely aggressive and murderous as well as tough and grounded.

Who is tougher? Kira or Sonya?

I'd love for them to battle each other. Kira would make a far better enemy for Sonya than Kano, imo. Like Sub_7th, I also think it would be great if she were established as Sonya's antithesis, especially cuz they sort of seem that way already due to their personalities.

Yeah, Kira isn’t that bad in the slutty Mk world, but she is still somewhere in there. Still, her outfits DO suit her very nicely and they rock. I personally love both, specially the alt because of the short pants, looks hot. And her skirt/blouse/jacket is hot. Too bad she really strikes me as Sonya. I just don’t feel her original enough despite the cool looks.

So far, just Sonya seems to be the modest one. I hope they keep her like that, if they dont in the future, oh well, it wont be a surprise, though it would suck.

Kira cant be underrated though, she is a savage beast, probably a more disciplined beast then Kano, but still, not angry nor intimidating enough as Sonya imo.

And I actually happen to like the fact that Sonya has a main male enemy unlike many others. She is one of the few females who actually has a main male threat that’s been around for a long time, and not just for something random or new.

But yeah, a new established rivalry between the red haired and the blond would rock. And if possible, throw in the icy hair chick, Sonya needs to teach both a lesson.

I'm pretty sure her eyes are blue. Yeah, it's kind of odd for her to have such big breasts, and I wish they tone that down a bit with a lot of the females. She doesn't need to have big breasts to look good. I'm more concerned about them fixing her face.

Kira's styles I loved in MKD, fit her well IMO. As far as storyline she's alright, not the best, not the worst..
