Ok, well for those more competitive MK fans out there like myself that not only love the series but likes to play online as oppose to just the computer.

Anyone else here excited about what new modes perhaps will be online and how it'll be improved? I am, and noticed that thus far in any interview NOBODY has mentioned or asked about online play, a little shocked but I'm sure this will be addressed come E3

We already know that there will be no mini games as Boon said in one of the recent interviews, but that's not to say that there can't be new "fighting mode options" available to us online

Example, instead of optimatch, host, quick match. That's all fine, but I mean have different fighting mode options like say a tag team online mode say 6 players in one room, have a 3 on 3 or 2 on 2

And bring back the round robin that worked great for UMK3 360 live arcade and this is also in the DOA games online where everyone gets a turn to play there's 4-6 players in one room trying to take the top spot.

Well, just curious anyone else here an online buff like myself and curious as to how this will play out?

I'd also like patches(since the 360 can handle it obviously) and smoother online play then MKA.

Not really. I mean, what's to discuss? It'll be choppy and horrible. It's online play for a fighting game. That's just the way it is. That's why Namco put it off so long for Tekken; choppy, shitty online play is just inevitable at current internet speeds.

I doubt that it'll be choppy and as bad as say MKA online, not to mention the game isn't even out yet so you can't say that nor have you or anyone here played it. It's just being fair to the game. Of course it'll lag some, but then lol every game online lags sometimes "great connections" or not...after playing online for 5+ years I've come to realize this. And it's even worse for Sony, that's why I'd go with Xbox because it simply plays better online.

As for lag, lag happens in ALL online games. Trust me, you're talking to a high level MK player here that plays online. I've played SF, DOA, KOF etc besides the MK series. Tekken lags too and SC will as well. It's just something you have to deal with and sacrifice in exchange for expanding competition...unless you're the type of player who prefers to play the machine all the time, then it doesn't matter obviously.
