What i wanna know is,who thinks that the old mka character select screen that we saw from the E3 games thingy, the one where u have 2 sides to pick the charcters from is better than the one now.Or the other way around. I personally like the old one because i liked the music from deception, the background looked much better in detail becuase you could see the wind blowing dust and i liked how you got a larger image of the characters when you choose them. To me that gave the game a bright image. Im not realing feeling the present one,i dont like how they made it like mk trilogy and i just straight up hate that shitty music they've got playing. I think that they shouldve stuck with the music from deception for the character select screen and for the ladder,or made sumthing better and maybe a little darker. But this doesnt stop me from liking the game i just would have loved it even more if it was like that way. But what do u guys think????

I wasn't at E3, so could someone please explain to me the "Two-sided Character Selct screen" dealy? I don't think my understanding of it is correct..

This was the original chracter select screen they had made first with half of the characters on one side and the other half on the other side.So you could flip it around to get from one side to another. Than they changed it to just having all the chracters all in one big select screen rather than having to flip it around to get the other characters u wanted. Look at the picture.

I actually like the idea in theory, but dislike the idea of having to press R1 to rotate the menu as I think Midway would have had a bunch of dumb people calling in looking for the other characters :)
Maybe if you had moved all the way to the right or left it could have rotated with the cursor - that would have been ok with me. It would have been neat to have a "light side" and a "dark side" with good characters and evil characters occupying the two sides.

Well when you count the characters in the list above, there's no where near the 62 in the final version.
It was probably easier to just have them all in one grid instead of chopped up in two.

Another reason why i like it is becuase it had the music from deception which was awsome, the new music for the select screen is boring.

i liked it because only 16 characters are immediately playable and i like unlocking characters it makes the game playable considerably longer here's proof
MK:DA had 11 unlockable characters and it took the average person without a krypt guide about a month and a half to unlock the characters and the costumes
MK:D had 12 unlockable characters and it took the average person without a krypt guide about a month to unlock the characters and the costumes
MK:A has 4 unlockables and it takes the average person a week to unlock the characters and to unlock the rediculously easy to unlock costumes
if MK:A had 46 unlockable characters and a krypt that doesn't hand everything to you on a silver platter it would take players alot longer to finish the game
but thats just my opinion
and plus in E3 kai and reiko were kick ass (kai had moi fah and a machete, and reiko had pi gua and the devastator)

i dunno i like the charecter select screen because of the fact that it reminds me of Mk trilogy but i guess some new inovative ideas coulda been interesting, also i agree there shoulda been more unlockable charecters but they need to stop putting important unlockables(such as charecters or alt costumes or levels) in konquest mode cause id rather earn the money and buy it from the Krypt trying to find little chests at specific points and times in the konquest honestly just pisses me off haha
