This really is a stupid post and probably will get deleted or something , but its just somethin i gotta do cuz i hate the default controls for mk:deception on xbox.
Im a mall rat/die hard arcade fan(die consoles die) and i loved the old school mk button lay out with High Punch being on top Low Punch under it , block in the middle, then High Kick in the upper right corner and low kick in the lower right. Thats just the way it has to be for me or else its crap. I even bought a 6button controller for the sega genesis just so i could set up the controller that way for mk1 and 2 and eventually .....*mumbles* mortal kombat 3.
Anyway if you're like me and u want your buttons set up the old school way here ya go
Clunky Controller Set up(this is for the original xbox controller not the crappy controller s they managed to mess up the button lay out even more on):
X = 2(High Punch)
A = 1 (Low Punch)
White Button = 4(High Kick)
Black Button = 3 (Low Kick)
Y = Block
B = Stance Change
L = Throw
R = Stage weapon grab
This button layout may take a while to get used to if you are used to playin on the default. especially with fatalities and of course the sliding from button to button with combos wont work either, but i hope u have fast enough hands to not need to slide your lazy thumb from button to button.
Controller S Set up:
Some people like these set ups some hate them. I just stick with the Clunky Controller Set up.
X = 2
A = 1
Y = 4
B = 3
L = Throw
R = Block
White Button = Stage weapon pick up
Black Button = Stance Change

Up side to all these different set ups is that the Movelist when u pause the game WILL change all the combos according to your button set up. so thats cool and stuff Down side is ...the learning curve/adjusting to the new button lay out.. Other than that its all good.
