Maybe a side mission near the end will have the two monks help Sub-Zero escape the Lin Kuei. That was a prettty major side plot-point for the MK storyline, happens in between MKII and MK3, and it's the perfect opportunity to fit in some favorite MK characters.

secodly cyrax and sektor should make appearences in human form but what would there special moves be because the lin kuei only has people with some sort of special abilities that set them apart but all the moves we've seen these two use are robotic stuf like bombs and faggy missiles (just kidding)
