ok people heres an idea i got while surfing the forums. what if instead of having tons of menus and such you were able to run around freely and challenge people by walking up to them and chatting to them (witht he headset or keyboard). in the chat menus would come up but the entire game would be more of a mmorpg type feel instead of boringly looking for fights and all through menus and by peoples name. what if you were able to run up to someone and see how good they were by what they may have been wearing that they could have bought with dragon koins they won from battles (staking) or by just running around and exploring and doing quests of different calliber. this would be an extremely huge jump for the MK series to become more online based than offline. of course you could play all of the origional things offline with people at your house but there would be much more interaction and variablility in the game. also this would help if you had a character customization engine so that you could choose what you looked like, hair length, skin color, etc. (kind of like tony hawk). you would be able to save these characters and make them your 3d self that you run around in this world with.

when someone accepts your challenge or vice versa your players would be taken to a character select screen where you can choose a mortal kombat combatant or your own person which you then would choose the styles for afterwords along with arenas and other things. then you would be warped to wherever you said and then you would be warped back after the fight. also there would be places where people could meet for fighting tournaments and their would be a board that an appointed person could put the names that select for the battles. there could be limits to who got in depending on how many fights they had won, etc. also there would be a way that when you walk up to a person you could either challenge them or look at their info (fight statistics).

of course these are just ideas and would take quite a bit of space to do but it would be awesome and much more interactive than menus. anyways post your comments on this and umm...no flamin plz everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
