Online play....controller?

I'm a noob when it comes to online play, but not to the MK games. How does the online play work? Do you still get to use a PS2 controller or do you have to use the keyboard? Thanks.

You use the controller to fight. Not too sure about typing, as I don't have a keyboard, but you can type with the controller (moving up or down will go through the alphabet, allowing you to type a message).

You can use a USB keyboard and just plug it into the USB port on your PS2. But it's pointless IMO since you can use the controller to type. I guess some people can't type fast with the controller.

you can also use a logtech mic to talk to players while fighting or racing....
