Puzzle was obviously a typo, its the Chess game that requires you to master many chars.
Puzzle and fighting usually dont fit to 1 player.
Prove is the scoreboards: the top 5 on puzzle is usually crap on combat and vice versa

yea, i was wonderin wat u ment! its anoyin, wenever i play sumone they qwit half way through but little do they no it still counts as a win to me and a loss to them! the karakters i use in chess are dairu, sub zero, baraka, noob smoke and ermac but alternate who goes were and thank u by the way!

Well there are a lot of reasons why only few play chess.
First one is that most dont know the rules (or dont have the patience/time to go learn them) and play normal combat instead, which the only thing you need to know for that is to just win the match.
Secondly, you need to be good with various charachters to have chances to win the match.
Alas, as a lack time, I havent had the chance to master other chars except Scorpion and SubZero (didnt had to practice a lot with them as basically they kept the same moves as MKDA), which I why I havent attempted chess yet.
@JimboLimbo: Seen the fact that you seem to have some experience at this game, could you tell me which piece should be the character I'm the best with: Grunt, Queen or King?
I'm guessing Grunt, as there are more pieces but they do lack HP

I have a set Chess Kombat team. I'm by no means good with all the players in it, but I can do what I need to do with them. And given that I've been playing as other characters recently, I have a wider selection to choose from. But again, I'm nowhere near skilled with these characters.
And since you said you use Scorpion and Sub-Zero, have one as Grunt and the other as your Leader. The Grunts will be protected as long as you get a healing square!

the best thing to do wuld prob be to put ure strongest karakter as a grunt, cus then u can bundle into the other players team and kill em all if ure good enuff. also havin grunts on power squares is the best thing to do cus if people try to take em, u can fend em off easily and u will hav full health each time. u then shuld either hav ure other good karakter as either champion or leader, leader if ure more defensive, champion if u r more offensive, cus they can move ne were, but if u hav sum one u cant play as as a leader and sum one attacks it, u r dun for, but another thing u can do is just cover the leader in grunts or watever and make sure no one gets to it, and make sure u always make good use of magic and traps. make sure u remember were u put ure trap, and usin kil magic is good if sumone for instance tries to attak ure leader with a grunt or shifter or if sumone heals a grunt or shifter to giv em full health, u can kill them. remember u can teleport enemis onto trpas with teleport and exchange and traps can be used over and over agen so make good use of em. lastly, if i u u try to attack sumone or sumone tries to attak u, u mite as well try to attak them so u get the +10 attakers bonus. every little helps! there, thats about it.

ALSO! if u r gona get good wit sumone, try getin good with dairu - i no nobody likes him and gets real pised off wen they lose to him and all his special moves, but he is a very defensive karakter, and havin him as a leader is a good idea becus u can qwite easily fend off people if u can use him rite. (or grunt if u rely wana piss off the other person! lol) his combos r qwite slow and easy to block, but combin them with his special moves sets them up for u to use em. his teleport switch attak is also good, cus u can stand next to a deathtrap, switch then knock em off if u do it rite! hes a very good defensive player.

I hope you know said strategy with Dairou is no secret. A friend of mine uses him and does all you said all the time. I sometimes do it too if I use him, but I can't use him well. He'll be apart of my raining regime later on.

I play with a lot of people but rarely remember the names unless they are good. (which was your case, although I cant remember the results
Personally I dont like Dairou. He lacks charisma (just like BRC) and I never play with characters I dont like (I know I could get cheap wins by mastering them, but I mainly play for fun, which I have a lot with Scorp and Sub)
I rather lose and have fun playing with a char I like instead of playing for the winning streaks with ugly chars I dont like.
Once I unlock all the chars in Conquest mode (still not fisished
) I prolly start using Kyra or Tanya, as I like them and dont see them online very often.
The few time I have I usually play online, but recently it has been a lot of puzzle fighting, which is quite fun setting up chain reactions
I'm still open for normal combat too.
