it makes the most sense
and the team isn't sure where each character goes in the prison yet

it cant take much to edit jade into kitana and change the location of characters

my guess is that when the stage was meade, they were not sure if jade was gonna be a character or not

I think Jade is still in the prison stage though..they show her there in the New outfit..in a different cell from Kitana. But, by the time the game is released? Who knows you could be very right..and I hope you are. Cause back in UMK3, playing as Cyrax on Jade's Dessert arena was a bit absurd!!

Jade had already been selected to return to the game a long time ago. She was no last-minute character.

Kitana had already been planned to be captured a long time ago. She will most likely die.

Jade was going to be playable. This was known a long time ago.

As for Kitana, she is said to be playable as this may possibly be her last game.

The prison might be a place to show us who might be playable. And then they're just picking from those in there.

And tis time Jade's and Kitana's costumes are pretty different... it wouldn't just be a paint job...
