I think it would be sweet if the MK4 feature "weapon pick-up" came back.
I loved it in MK4 where you could knock a weapon out of your opponents hands and use it against them. Implement this in MK6 and it could be great because of the diversity of weapons that could appear in MK6.
*I allready see Scorpion using nunchako's, hehe*

ugh, that was one of the main reasons mk4 sucked, because you would be pulling out you weapon, right when its out you opponent would kick it out of you hands, pick it up and throw it at you, hell no i dont want to see the happen, keep it like, they do in mk:da where you pull out the weapon and you keep it until yuou switch to a martial arts stance

I think it is a good idea because weapons are too powerful right now, some more than others, i think this would be a good way to fix that or i would perfer a mini delay while u pulled it out, like scorpion would actually pull it out off his back but while he was doing it he would be open for attack.

now what you say about the scorpion thingy, thats a good idea, but still, having them knocked out was something that made mk4 have little replayability

That's true. I hated having to worry about receiving a cheap hit and trying and get my weapon back. It was annoying.

I think the whole knock down thing was an mk4 thing and we should leave it at that. I think the mk team should concentrate more on deversifiying weapons, like now giving bo ri cho and raiden the same staff, or kenshi and scorpion the same sword. See what I mean?

i also think this could be a good idea-adding to the realism and whatnot, but on the other hand, it would geatly effect combos.
espeacilly branch style combos.

Well I think the idea is a good one, but perhaps since it would make style branching much more difficult. I think it should work out that the characters in the position to quickly grab his/her weapon in a flowing style. For example scorpion could be in the middle of a juggle and while the opponent is being juggled in the air scorpion would use his feet instead of his hands allowing him to pull out the sword whilst in the middle of kicking. Just an idea as to how it could work more smoothly.

Offcourse you can not loose your weapon by reciving a punch/kick. If they implement this in the next game they should have a move that would knock it out your hands, not just one kick/punch.
Some sort of a special move, a weapon steel move

Thats the beauty of my idea, you don't have to feel it, it would be your choice to pick up your opponents weapon and beat the crap out of your opponent with it.
I would also like it pick up skull and stones en whatever they can think of, just keep it in proportion, not like in MK4 where you pick up a huge boulder or a giant skull and throw it like it was nothing.
I think it would be hilarious when you face your opponent in an all out match with both players in danger and one player trows a pebble or skull or something and win that round.

I believe this techinque should be a throw animation, but instead of doing a throw the character somehow makes the opponent drop the weapon. Then you can either sacrifice your weapon to pick it up or keep your weapon and make your opponent defenseless
