Quan Chi is more sinister than Shang Tsung. I like Shang Tsung but Quan Chi is definately the bigger badass.

Well, I have to say that Quan Chi is cooler, but Shang would beat him hands down. Shang is a demon and Quan Chi is human. I think Shang has more power too.

I think they're both really...well, lame. But, I like Shang Tsung better because of his kostumes and soul steal hability.

Quan Chi is more evil and more powerful. He is more skilled in sorcery. Shang Tsung is not a demon at all but does have a demon form. And you're right that he is an earth born person

They said he is a demon in MK1. Demons can't come from Earth? Gods are from Earth. Quan Chi is human, and Shang is a demon. They got it all screwed up in the TV show. They said it backwards

But there is something within the games that says his origin is from Earth realm. And yes he has a demon form.

That's right. A demon from Earth. Just like Raiden is a God from Earth. It makes sense. Look back to MK1. It says outright that Shang Tsung is a demon. And in a gamepro magazine with an interview and all kinds of production drawings and stuff. It showed his "true form"

One thing I will admit though, is that they haven't been too consistant with story lines. They change stuff around on us all the time. They could go down the "shang is human" road, but I KNOW they said he was a demon in part one. And in the movie, but that don't matter. Only the game story line matters.

Apparently, many people have trouble with the story behind MK.
