I don't think so. Scorp knocked up Baraka (minds out of the gutters guys...) before kicking him into the spikes. And there were PLENTY of pop up attacks in MKDA. I used them all the time.

I'm confused. If you mean the juggle setup such as Kenshi's katana upper cut and then into a sword slice, than yes bring them back. If you mean blocking a flying kick from across the stage and doing an uppercut.Then no. Get them the hell out of there. That is only used by pussies and noobs who don't have any skills to start a combo. What was great about DA was that it let you string your own combos, not pussy-ass counter uppercuts. And any one who still uses that move deserves to rot in the special 10th layer of hell from Dante's Inferno.
