which ones? and what is your source. Most scalps that i have heard of/read about have simply involved making an incission and ripping the skin off :/

TRUE STORY: a guy working at a small theme park was unaware that a certain ride was running. His job was to grease and oil the tracks, along with a safety inspection each day. On this particular day, this guy (we'll call him bob) was oiling up the tracks and wearing headphones.

Unbeknowst to bob, the rollarcoaster WAS running on this particular day, and as it came at him, he tried to turn but his mullet ponytail got caught in the passing wheels. Bob was dragged by his hair and pulled up into the air until the force was too strong. The force "scalped" bob causing him to fall 30 feet onto a spiked fence.

bob did not survive this terrible onslaught, it was his time to go.

maybe he could scalp his opponent and then when theyre bleeding and crying and ahhh i want my scalp back he could bitch at them about how he wants his land back untill they DIE!!!!!

if your scalp is removed you cannot survive. the blood loss would be enough by isteld let alone the infections even if you could somehow stop the bleeding. there are several large veins in the scalp and when severed you bleed like a pig. if a portion of the scalp is removed and reattached it is possible to survive. whole scalp, nope.

I do think scalping would kill you though. I mean, even if you JUST have your skin removed from your head.... eventually you're gonna need a doctor! But, chances are, if you are being scalped by an indian..... I don't think there is going to be a doctor nearby! I think it would be a kick ass Fatality to have Nightwolf stand behind you, reach over, and start tearing back your scalp! You just scream in pain and then he bury's his hatchet into the top of your skull.

there have been people who have been scalped by machinery and survived.

the main reason people who were scalped by indians would die is due to their temporal artery being severed and they died from the blood loss.

Scalping is believed to be a practice brought to the Native Americans by the English and Spanish. It is not something that had been originall done by Native Americans. Only after the massacre of several tribes and the descretion of their bodies did the Native Americans take up scalping. Scalping is not usually done to a live person, it is used to show they have taken the life of that person. The most notorious tribes for corpse mutilation were the Sioux, Cheyenne, and Mohawks.

Being that Nightwolf is a shaman, and thus being peaceful and one with nature... i highly doubt he would do such a thing.

Without a doctor around; I guarantee ya that u'd die after being scalped! Especially if they went deep enough into u'r head/brain!
