I havent been on for awhile ive been busy i havent had time to play the game either i unlocked all 24 but for some reason i feel like something's missing! Now im a big fan of Shang Tsung especially after MK:DA
Now I looked at the opening Video over and over and forsome reason i cant help but think maybe they ran away Quan And Shang i mean...
For half a second you can see Quan chi running away maybe he just dropped the medalion! and i mean Come on no Self respecting villian would go down With the leader of the good guys. You get me?
LEt's say Onaga did get quan! and thats how he got the medalion whats that got to do with Shang ?! He could be a fast runner ( Hoping he is ) :P
And Besides All that Shang Has Been In This Game Since Game 1!! It Would Be Wrong To Throw Him Out Just When He's Reached His Peak (Storywise & In Terms Of his Look)
Besides all that you fight him in Konquest While You dont fight quan you feel me?
Sonya , Jax , Jhonny Cage , Kano I Can Understand Why they Cut them out though im a big big fan of Kano And Jax But their Story Was Headed No where ! Let's Be Honest They had Nothing In terms of story!
Please Know That All Of What I Said Is My Personal Opinion! Im Not Saying Shang Is The Ruler Of The World Or That he's An SU This Is Just What Im Hoping!!!
And in no way Do i mean by this thread any dis repect any of Quan's fans

Nothing is known for sure but Shang Tsung, Quan Chi and some of the other characters from MK:DA may be playable because they are fightable in Konquest, however none of them have special moves or fatalities so they may not be.
You could always use a cheat device to play as them though, like Jay FNG of the Codebreaker staff worked out to do (but he tried to pass them off as Super Unlockables).

Id like to see Shang Tsung return, possibly in his demonic form...or that of an old man like MK1
Cant see it happenin in MK:D
Onaga needs 2 be seen as powerful and almighty and by havin Shang Tsung avoid death at the hands of Raidens ethereal blast, doesnt do much for Onaga.
Bring Shang back in the next edition of MK, or even the one after but as for Deception? Nah.

In Liu Kang's bio he says that he's soul was released when Shang Tsung was destroyed by the blast
But who knows, maybe we will se him return...
