Does it really matter if it comes out the 4th or the 5th? Pretty much the same day. I think the main MK:D site lists it as the 5th. On top of that, CDs, DVDs, and video games usually come out on Tuesdays, so I don't see why it would come out on the 4th, unless it was that night at Midnight, like at a 24 hour Wal-Mart. =P

I called gamestop and eb and gamestop said the 5th but the jackpot is when eb said the 4th. So it really depends on the store.

My local EB said they would have Deception in on the 4th at around 6pm. Since I'll be at work I gotta wait till the 5th. No Biggie though.

depending on what coast it ships from will depend on you getting it the 4th or the 5th. Getting it the 4th is possible and some people will have it. Either way this is not a topic to be bickering on.

are you people actually arguing as to what exact day the game is going to be released? Damn, you people have a lot of time in your hands. It will be here by the end of next week. What's the whole big deal of whethere it says the 4th, 5th, 6th... it is only a matter of days, and most importantly, the release date is never final or concrete, rather speculative. So all of you wondering and obsessing about what date exactly is going to come out and bothering the poor worker's at ebgames and gamestop asking them what date is going exactly going to come out, the date is speculative. Even the people at the stores themselves aren't so sure, they go by what they see on the computer.
so stop with hasseling and wait for the damn game!

The shipping point for the East coast is in Tennessee. I know this because a friend of mine who works for Gamestop drives down there to pick up the games so he can drive them back himself and get them to the store quicker. It's only about an 8 hour drive away from here. So hopefully he'll go down there and get MKD so he can start selling it on the 4th. If not, it won't arrive until the 5th.

Toys r Us told me they r getting it on the 1st. Not sure if that means they will be putting it out on this first but i will sure be checking.

let's just look at the history of the series...mortal kombat is one of those special games that have a concrete street date, unlike most games where they never come out when they say they are. mk1 came out a few days early as did mk2,mk3,mkt, and mkda. not sure about mk4, I wasn't entirely excited about that release. it also may depend on location, I live in san diego,ca. and that has always been the case here
p.s...if history repeats itself, we'll have it this saturday, the latest sunday

i just got off the phone with Midway, EbGames, and Gamestop. Midway says it will start shipping the game to stores nationwide on the 29 at 8 am, so each store can get it at a time span of 1 days to 5 days, depending on their location. So EbGames is going to get it exactly at 1 pm on Monday, the 4th, but another location will be getting it on 1:25 pm that same day, but on a different location. gamestop, however, will be getting the game on the 5th at 2 pm, but in other locations, they will be getting it at 2:05 pm with 3 seconds,andon a third location at 2:30 pm with 30 seconds! i am so confused. I would like to get it at EbGames at 1 pm, but that location is far, very far, but i don't want to wait because I am so extrememly obssessed about how long it will take the game to get to my hands and am counting to the last second. DO you think i should save gas and wait an additional 25 minutes with 23.2 seconds so I can get it at the second ebgames location? What do you guys think? this is concrete evidence. I have done a great deal or reseach and spent the whole day thinking and arguing to myself which store i should get it at what timing!!!
I am so confused! why can't they just set themselves on an exact time, date, hour!!!!!! i feel like the world is going to end!!

This is my proof that the release date is not accurate. so, if i were you, i would simply edit the topic of this thread, or simply close it. you have no proof whatsoever of anything because it is invalid.
