It is heavily rumored that he will indeed be back in MKD as an unlockable...that being the case do you think they should leave him as is because he owns now, or do you think he should go though some drastic changes? Personally the Only thing I want changed about him is for him to have his Telestomp and Weapon steal (for Stage weapons only!) moves back. Everything else (minus the Fatality) is perfect as is. Thoughts?
| saxtard Wrote: I still want him to have his "living weapon", as in the concept art they teased us with about a year and half ago. |
Yeah that thing looked badass, I'd still want to see that, but not for Quan Chi though, I like his double broadsword stance alot, just give him a few more combos and he's set. Perhaps the living weapon can go to Skab?

he needs a drastic change of fatality. neck stretch was a disaster. it was horrible. horrible i tell you.

HAHA, oops! I forgot about that, that definitely is the only other thing I'd change about him...that fatality gotta go!

I never was really a big fan of quan chi but I did like his foot stomp from MK4 and his grab move from MK:DA. He needs a major makeover and new moves. He needs something that will make him unique like shang can take souls, they should give him something that will make him stand out.

Hmmm, maybe he can have a move were he uses his sorcery powers to cut of the opponents use of their special moves (Specials that have to do with projectiles and Powers like teleports, Moves like Sonya's Leg Grab would not be affected.) for a short period of time. Just one thought.

Quan Chi is truly a bad ass on his own accord. He was an awesome fighter in DA. Of course the only complaint I had was the *snickers* fatality he had. He was awesome in MK4. He needs his telestomp back. I LOVED the idea of the weapon steal, but on level weapons only. Great idea!! Ok..he also needs some new threads. Something really sinister and dark maybe with a cloak thrown in for good measure. He should be one pissed off individual because the 'deadly alliance' thing didn't work out for him. I would just like to see him really dark in Deception..really pissed...and with a killer set of fatalities. The leg-beat fatal he had in MK4 ruled. Maybe bring that back. On the other hand we have seen several 'rip off a limb and beat somebody senceless' fatalities so far...so...maybe something new and unique for him. Any thoughts??

That's pretty good. He also needs to be solo and not have partnerships shinnok/shang thing going on. Since the dragon king is the main boss maybe quan could form a sorcery clan, something like sub and sektor.

For new fatality ideas? hmmmm...He could take out his broad swords and stand infront of the opponent and stab one blade through the opponents throat to hold them there, then slice off (one by one) the opponents arms and legs, then he flings the Torso up into the air and off his sword and when it starts to fall he roundhouses it to send it flying and then throws one of his swords after it pinning it to a wall or a tree depending what stage your on. Not the best, I know, but I came up with it fast.

Agreed, he's had two alliances fail him, so he should try things on his own, plus I think being a loner would make him that much more of a badass!

Quan should look more sickly. More thinner. His bones should be visble under his pale white flesh. He should look gastly. But he should still be powerfull

Sounds cool...only why would he all of the sudden be skin and bones? Did you have an idea? Cause it sounds good, but I'd like to know how he got that way. Like maybe he and Shang got into a fight over their failure and During the fight Shang took some of his soul and it weakend his body or something like that...or did you have something different in mind?

Maybe he went on that damned Atkins craze. 'Carbs are your enemy' and all that other propaganda...lol. Now pass me a beer and the cheese whiz!!! The fatality idea you had sounds good TomTaz. I'll try to come up with one, but I just got home from work and I'm tired. I'll sleep on it and type one in tomorrow.

Yes I do have an idea on Why Quan Chi would Look more sickly.
Like most we want to see the "Living weapon" Well perhaps its this very weapon that gives him more power yet corrupts his appearance. The more he uses it the sicker he looks.

LMAO @Atkins. Nice! And thanks, I literally came up with that right after I read your post and didn't really think that much on it...so I'm glad you like it. Can't wait to see yours after you've had time to think on it.

Yep, works for me. Good idea along with Cartmans Innersanctum one.
Hehe Cartmansp, I love the sig man...
It's strange. Not "funny looking" strange, but like, "giggling clown in a dark forest" strange.
Creepy.

I think Quan should have a black rob on with a hood and have a move where he throws it off in during a match, lol sounds kinda impossible though...kinda like stuff falling off people in virtua fighter 4 but make the rob throw a move u can use as a freeze or something like u wrap the character in it then get some hits off then it flies back on u, that idea will nver fly though lol i am going way to overboard....just for fun though. But for the love of amn how could you have one of hte best fatals in MK then the next one of the most horrible one ever created....I do seriously think that was the worst one ever....

Playabilty-wise, I'd like Quan Chi to have his Teleport Stomp and his breaker where he snapped both knees backwards. And of course to get rid of the Neck Stretch fatality. Other than that, I thinks he's fine.
Storyline and character-wise, I want Quan Chi to be more like he was in Mythologies and MK4 where he was a manipulative shadow player who pulled others' strings from the background. In DA they made him into more of a typical cowardly villain.
