I think its a big possibility that Quan Chi will die in MKDA. Here is my idea, a little farfetchd but might make some sense. In Konquest it states that he had to battle himself to gain entry to the Earthrealm (most challenging adversary) perhaps this forshadows that a weakness inside of him may be his own undoing in the deadly alliance and he will die. Also he has lots of enemies, Scorpion, Drahmin, Moloch, Li Mei, any Earth warrior and possibly Shang Tsung, Kano, and Sub-Zero. Just about everybody if you think about it.

1. everyone(almost everyone) fights themselves in konquest..it means nothing..just a mirror match
2. yes he has a lot of enemies..but he is the strongest villian yet...until the DK comes..he will only be 2nd....he has evaded his enemies and even defeated some of them..he fights with his mind and power..he will use trickery to win

not true, most people dont fight themselves, true they all fight themselves in the last conquest mission, but its not for the right to pass through the portal.

If he is the strongest villain, then why did he need shang tsungs help to defeat Shoa Kahn

Technically they needed each other to do it.
So to say one could not do it without the other is obvious, but to say it is a weakness, they both possess is correct.

(Though I don't believe that was the real shao khan)

i believe reptile found the body in his konquest..but thats off topic

anyway i dont think Quan chi's death is foreshadowed..i think that was just showing how arrogant and powerful he is..like the only person thats stronger than himself is himself

Actually, you dont know that. You really dont.

Anyway, I dont see why Quan Chi would die? All the reasons specified in the thread are pretty...meaningless, sorry.

Quan chi may die or change form, everything on this topic is speculation. However I believe it's Drhamin's ending, where he and quan chi and thrown into the inner sanctum, and when it opens or something, they are merged into one, or drhamin is changed. That could be one possible outcome to the fate of quan chi. Only time will tell.

drahmin just became human again

it makes sense if u use common sense
the chambe is used to revive quan chi....think of it as a lazerus(SP?) chamber...so quan chi wont be looking any different when he gets out

as for drahming..he has been revived..he is now the humanoid warrior we saw in the concept art

ofcourse this is all speculation and we dont even know if parts of drahmin's ending are carried over

Shang is dead. If Kunglao is smart he must have killed Shang in order to avenge his best friend's death.

Quan Chi on the other hand might be dead or will die in MK6. He's got too many enemies now. And I wouldn't be surprised if the DK declared him as a foe for trying to control his army

Well, if we go by your logic, Quan Chi is dead aswell, because Drahmin is smart and he must've killed Quan Chi.
Nice logic. I wonder if it works if I use my brain too?

It's mortal kombat and in the end anything can happen. Who knows lui kang and Shao Kahn both could be back for mk6, even though it appears they both died,

however reguarding shao kahn keep in mind boon said he is mostly likley not dead, but severly weakend, so that could be a prelude to what is to come.

As for lui comming back, I dunno it COULD really make things lame.

I thought I read somewhere that Lui Kang was confirmed to be back on the evil side...Don't take my word for it but I'm just speculating.

Shang Tsung was dead? lol you're right, but then he was also revived hence why he is back.

IMO: Quan Chi should have already been dead. Look at Sub Zeros and Scorpion's endings in Mk4, they both show Quan Chi being killed.... But IMO: I think he will die in MK6, but I would bet it would be from one of the next 3 warriors: SubZero, Scorpion, or Reptile(best bet.)

I would say Reptile due to the latest rivalry (Hence Mk4 ending with reptile).. but thats just IMO...
