Yeah I heard about that too. I couldn't believe it. Major hit for the company. Now I hope they can release MK games in the future.

The thing is midway that they have good concepts and ideas when coming up with new games and they have potiential to do well but the problem lies that they dont focus on quality they just rush a game out that is half assed.

Just look at Blacksite and Stranglehold, they had the potiential to be 2 big blockbuster titles, now I cant say anything much about stranglehold other than it got mediocre review scores. However Blacksite is a perfect example of how midway can take a good idea and fuck it ip. Blacksites visuals were below par for an unreal 3 game. Why you ask?, its simple they rushed it. It was like they relaesed a beta, there were a no. of texture bugs according to some reviews. If midway would give the team more time for development and to learn how to use UE3 properly maybe they would have better games with better quality therefore sell more units and get out of this financial mess.

The same can be said for the mk games as of late, 1 game a year, no wonder why we have become so inpatient for news on MK8. It shows midway is desperate. Though the fact that they are not telling us anything about MK8 is a possible sign that they are following this advice and they might delay it as it is scheduled for nov 08 release.

If there is anything above that ive said incorrectly then forgive me but this is the most logical reason i can think of for why they are struggling.

due to the lack of info, im guessing mk 8 will be delayed, i hope not, but then if it means it will be a better game then so be it.
I dont want this mk rushed, coz its the mk debut on a next gen platform, and i wouldnt want to be ripped off, like i was with unchained (my own fault though, should have read the preview).
I want this mk to be dark, nasty, brutal as well as playable, i want good online features, downloadable characters (past and present), i want multi-player death matches, i want the good old fashion cheat menus, where i can turn up the blood, speed it up, one button fatalties. Well hidden easter eggs, and characters. Remember when we first fought reptile!. I want all the best elements of all the games.
I know its been suggested that mk is going back to its dark roots, of which i am pleased. But it needs to make the headlines again, and it needs to inspire future games in the series.
maybe also mk trilogy on the PSN, so i can play it on psp or ps3. Or a small downloadable mini game. (it would have to be unique though).

Anyway, i have enjoyed every mk title so far, especially deception. all though the ending was shit.
Maybe midway should consult us fans on a few aspects, no one knows the games like us.

I would really like a trailer though to get me excited
