Hey guys.. remember me? Yah... I come here often, but usually never reply to anything (except for the portable board).

Anywho... about online play for the PS2 (first I have to get a PS2... cuz all I have is a cube). I have my systems hooked up in my room, but don't have any cable outlet (except for a phone jack). I do have a lap-top with wireless internet. Is there a way for me to play MKD online... if I hook the PS2 net connecter (I have no idea what the real thing is called) to my laptop and still be able to play? Hope this makes sense... and thanks to all those who reply. wink

I dont know about PS2, but for x-box if you decide this works better, get a cable or dsl modem. This itself is a high speed internet provider. All you have to do then is buy an ethernet cable(sold seperately) and hook the ethernet cable box up to your xbox. This is called a direct link. you probably know this, but if not, im glad I could try to help.

U have to pay a year fee of 50 dollars PS2 is free after u get online well ur connection isn't free which everyone has the internet already but u don;t have to pay for the program like XBOX. Idk know how u connect it yet. Because I haven;t got cable internet yet its coming soon. SO when I get it im going online and also Probably u could ask someone at EBgames or gamestop where ever u can go to get the game. Also be smart don;t buy a PS2 if it doesn;t come with the online connection U'll know when u see it will say online connection packages or something I think a black boss u will save money if u do this. U'll have ur PS2 and everything u'll need.

I can help you out, I just bought a PS2 online adapter 2 days ago, it's easy to set up. For me, I had to go out after buying the adapter, and as someone else said, get an ethernet (CAT5) cable, cus I connect my modem to my PS2. You said you have wireless internet - i dont know if you have an internet modem or not, but if not you'll need a wirless router. I think the connection isn't as good as plugging right into a modem, but should still work. If you buy the adapter it explains EVERYTHING in the manual, about wireless router's, cables you'll need etc. I you want extra help go here PS2 all the way...

alright... thank you guys. An ethernet cable is... the normal cable that goes from ur comp to the wall (cable internet)... right? lol. Since I have wireless internet on my laptop in my room... I have a wireless router in another room on my other comp. So you say I can attach the cable from my laptop to the PS2 adapter... and that it should work (but not as great as connecting it to my modem)?

Just trying to clarify here... because I don't feel like putting in another cable jack in my room.
