Question about the fatalities

Why is there a Fighting style called Fatality?
I don't have to select that stance to get my fatalities done. So why they put that in?

When you're in the Fatality stance you can't move so it's easier to pull off fatalities that are like Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Up, Up, Up, Up, B

Well, actually now that they made so that the Up and Down only move around the set, and not jump, it's really far less necessary.
